The McDonald’s in America Fork I visited one evening to pick up some late night dinner. The food and service was fine, however the atmosphere of the restaurant is very depressing. It used to be open where you can see the counter, kitchen and people. Now it is blocked off with a tiny area to order. I know this isn’t just this location but all McDonald’s architecture and planning has come to this. Just sad to see McDonald’s like this.

No one in lobby. Waiting ages for our food. I work in fast food, the workers touching their faces, hair and more. Then going straight to work with food. Having earbuds and not caring how long it takes. I usually love McDonald’s and their speed. Something need to change here.

I don’t know what it is about this location, but it is consistently terrible. I keep giving it another chance thinking it will improve, and it never does. Save yourself the frustration and just go down the street to the Lehi location, their service is actually competent and they don’t constantly mess up orders.
This time they gave me the wrong size fries. I ordered two larges and paid for larges, but received two mediums that were only filled halfway. That’s not a small mistake, that’s straight up careless. It’s the same story every visit. I used to blame it on whoever was working that day, but at this point it’s clearly a pattern. This location is just bad, period.

I just wanted a tasty breakfast. I got a virtual slap in the face. I went to the register to order and pay with cash. They looked at me like I was a disease (no human interaction allowed??). Asked if I had placed an order on the kiosk which I had not – that’s why I was at the register. I prefer to pay with cash, and I don’t want to touch the screen where 100 other fingers have been smearing. I want to see a human- that is what our world needs. More human interaction. What’s worse is that there was some big boss managers in the dining area meeting with notebooks and stuff like they were regional big brass. One of them approached a paying customer waiting at the register and told him to go order at the kiosk. I saw where this anti-human culture comes from. The higher management. I like McDs. I like the food. But please, please, for the sake of everything human, quit smacking people in the face with your looks and just welcome them and their money and smile and take an order – in person – at a register – like your stock price depended on it.

If you value the quality of your food DO NOT come to this location!
My mother and I went to grab some ice coffees and we took one sip and it tasted like it was the stale acidic coffee left from the morning shift. We asked the manager to please refund us because it tasted off and to take back the drinks. She told us verbatim “if you don’t like how it tastes do not come back to this location because that’s how we make it here” (I assumed she was the manager since dressed in all black.) She was not wearing a name tag, probably because she’s been complained about enough times due to her nasty attitude that she’s deciding to play it safe. I strongly recommend the Pleasant Grove location instead. Their staff is much more helpful and friendlier than the evening crew here.

I keep giving this American Fork location a chance to redeem themselves but today was the last straw. We ate in the restaurant because we wanted hot fries. I placed my order at the kiosk. Sat at a table I had to clear and wipe. The dining room was filthy and there was just us and one other patron so not super busy. I get a drink, Big Mac and large fries. I get my food the Big Mac has one patty and 3 buns one with not sauce. The fries are cold. I show the worker the food was made wrong. He brings out fresh fries and just puts a patty on the bare bun. No sauce no lettuce, no cheese. The patty was not even warm. Why it’s not a super hard order.

Amber was very harsh to employees that weren’t aware of my son’s allergies and I specifically talked to, Manager Amber. Tossed bag and forgot 30$ of food, i know the job is stressful but so is it for her innocent employees! Even my 7 year old could see it wasn’t fair

Location is spacious and inviting, mostly clean – no employees were making rounds to make sure seating areas were wiped down or cleaned up. Three huge kiosks are available to order on, and can scan your rewards from your phone.
Employee did not however, know about the BOGO deal when you fill out a survey online, and asked if I had another discount code to apply to the order – in which the manager had to show him how to apply it to my order.
Food came out in appropriate time. Place is mostly clean, but employees were loud and were having too much fun behind the registers. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great they find work fun, but it was loud enough that it was disturbing customers who were eating in.

Terrible service. A bunch of teenagers running the restaurant. We came there after doing 2 mobile orders and only got one of them. Had to go inside for the second as they forgot. (Not the biggest deal. This happens often in other locations). The bad part was the food. The soda machine ran out of syrup for my sprite and literally got soda water. The meat on the Big Macs were as thin as paper. The nuggets had bitter oil to them and looked off. I called the store not yelling or even acting mad. But the person over the phone was just saying “…ok…yeah…yeah” not even providing a solution. I offered myself and see if I can just come back but it’s honestly not worth all the effort. They need better management.

We have gone to this location multiple times and each time, the employees have been in a terrible mood. I don’t know if it’s the customers that are making them so angry, or management, but you gotta check in with your employees and see if they are ok. You can taste their bitterness in the food.
Today was the last straw! After getting sick from the hash browns we are no longer going back to this location and want to warn you all! We work in the food industry and could tell the oil hadn’t been changed. Unfortunately we were so hungry we didn’t notice until after we finished. My car still smells like oil.
Do.Not.Go.Here! There’s a Wendy’s next door that tastes soooo much better and the employees are happier!
