Service was good. The fish tacos were AMAZING. They had a signature drink on their menu that sounded good. I was told they didn’t have the ingredients for it…. Interesting. I decided on a Margarita instead. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. I wanted a second one. They ran out of one of the ingredients for that, too. What the heck? Definitely has potential to be 5 stars. More informed wait staff and keep the ingredients for your signature drinks in stock, at least.

One of the restaurants inside Heidel House Resort and Spa, the BoatHouse Pub is the casual fare eatery overlooking Green lake. While the larger organization is ratable at a much higher level, this pub disappoints with it’s mediocre quality food and limited menu choices. Perhaps, I shouldn’t judge too harshly because I didn’t try any of their alcoholic offerings. Even so, the wine list and drink choices seemed quite pedestrian.

My wife were at the Heidel House for a romantic couples weekend retreat. We went to dinner at this restaurant and had the worst service experience either one of us can ever remember. If you get a server named Marjorie then good luck getting anything beyond what your order initially. Not one check back on good quality…my steak was over cooked but still good flavor…no drink refills at all and no personal interaction. Atrocious service and only ok food with no healthy options. I would never suggest this as a dining option.

I went for the first time and had heard great things about this place. The view was beautiful but the service was the worst! I ordered and was told they couldn’t make what was on the menu. I asked to substitute the meat then they said they could make my order. I was never offered siver wear. I finished my drink and the bartender took my glass but never asked if I wanted another drink nor offered water. The service was a 1 at best

We ordered 2 salads (caesar and fire&ice) and two desserts (carrot cake and chocolate cake). The caesar salad had so much dressing on it that I couldn’t even finish it, and the fire&ice salad was incredibly bland but that was my fault for ordering it without the chicken. Both desserts were so dry they weren’t worth the $6 a slice. We ended up paying 38 pre tip, so definitely not worth the money.

Only got one star because of location. We stopped in for a quick drink before a party. We sat at the bar, they had at least 5 staff behind the bar and not a lot of patrons. We sat for a good 10 minutes, no one welcomed us or offered to help us. We attempted to make eye contact to get some help, and still nothing. Not going back.

Read the reviews on horrible service so we just decided to order carry out. The nachos were delicious and for being take out they gave us a lot of food! Fresh guac, black beans, and pico were great.
