Took the family to the Boathouse and the older ladies loved the atmosphere on the patio. The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly and the right level of attentiveness. I also saw the biggest basset hound of my life there. Dogs allowed on the patio. All in all was a great experience.

Sit inside or under the awning, you get service.
Most of the outside, is order at the bar & they bring your food to you by calling out your name. We waited twenty miniatures, people watching to figure this out even though we were seated by the hostess.
The cod was crispy & less than average.
The slinger was delicious.
The view & vibe is worthwhile & if I lived closer, I would definitely come back.

We had a fantastic experience at Boathouse at Forest Park! We came with our kids and absolutely loved it. The food was great, the staff was kind and attentive, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and family-friendly. Watching the ducks and enjoying the view by the lake made it even more special. A perfect spot for a relaxing day with the family. Highly recommended!

The Boathouse is a beautiful spot to relax and unwind. They offer great boating experiences at very reasonable prices—perfect for a fun day out on the lake. The lakeside restaurant and bar are equally impressive, with a scenic view and cozy atmosphere. The food is delicious, and the overall vibe is peaceful and refreshing. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors!

Ordered fish and chips, fried shrimp, and poached pear salad for a lunch date! We miss their impossible burger, but the rotating seasonal menu is also really refreshing. Always love eating outside on the patio, lots of cute ducks in the water:) Service could be easier if they placed completed orders up front instead of sending out a busboy to track you down.

Decent place to eat, nice looking interior but very noisy inside. Service was great. Prices about average. My tuna salad on croissant and side salad was nothing I’d order again. Other food that was ordered at our table looked tasty…wish I would have tried something different. There is outside table service but only if you sit under the covered part, otherwise you can order and pick up at the outside bar. Outside there is free duck, fish, turtle feed to keep you entertained…. and they do entertain.

The toasted ravioli with brisket was good but it was so hard. Overcooked I think. The reuben tasted like the meat had barbecue seasoning. It wasn’t bad just unexpected…? burger was okay. Not really what I expected with a view of the water. There were loud kids, and we got our drinks in plastic cups and paper baskets so it’s VERY kid friendly. Not what I had hoped. Great place to take your screaming children.

Apparently the place to be seen in St Louis. Food was good.

Just watch out for the sparrows, leave your table or get too sucked into your phone and the little lighters will land right on your plate and take chunks out.

Guess you’d call it sparrow land tax haha.

The food was great the atmosphere was fun. We picked it because we were from out of town and had our pup with us. We were a group of 10 and managed to find a table pretty quickly. Definitely a place I would go again if we were in the area.
