Bluestone Evanston is your neighborhood sports bar and family-friendly restaurant, just a short walk from Ryan Field, Welsh-Ryan Arena, and Rocky & Berenice Miller Park. We’re serving up great wings, hearty sandwiches, fresh bowls, fresh salads, and other healthy options — all paired with cold drinks from our full bar. Catch every game on our big screens, unwind on the sunny sidewalk patio, and enjoy the kind of comfort food (and lighter fare) that keeps everyone coming back. Bring the family, rally your friends — we’ll have a table (and a cold one) waiting for you.
Classic American fare is served in a cozy eatery with a fireplace & sports on TV.

Waited 30 minutes and nobody ever came to take our order, not even our drinks. (We did receive water as we were seated but that was it) Seemed like a pretty slow night and people around us all had their food. So not sure what their excuse could be….

Blue Stone in Evanston is a hidden gem that perfectly balances casual dining with great food and atmosphere. My group visited during a quiet afternoon, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish.
The appetizers here are generous enough to make a meal! We tried the loaded nachos with chicken, which came perfectly assembled with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa (pro tip: follow our server’s recommendation to skip the olives). We also ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries with aioli, which were absolutely addictive – we demolished them in record time.
The service was outstanding, with both the hostess and our server being incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Our server’s recommendations were spot-on, helping us make the perfect choices for our meal.
The ambiance is versatile and comfortable, with both booth and table seating options and great lighting throughout. There are TVs placed strategically around the restaurant for sports fans, but they don’t detract from the overall chill vibe. During warmer months, they offer outdoor seating which creates a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Even in cooler weather, the patio can be enjoyable if you dress appropriately.
Pro tips:
The loaded nachos and truffle fries are must-try items
You can upgrade your entrée’s side dish to truffle fries
Visit during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter atmosphere
Consider the outdoor seating in nice weather
Overall, Blue Stone offers a comfortable, casual dining experience with generous portions and attentive service. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Evanston!

This place has a lot going for it – great service, children-friendly, and nice bar area. However, when it comes to food, it’s… meh. Everything from quesadillas to French onion soup, they were OK but nothing stood out as being outstanding. It is a nice place to stop by for those living near northern part of Evanston but it is not a place one would go out of way as destination.

Come here if you love cracker thin pizza. Careful about extra crispy bc it can burn easily since it’s so thin. Don’t expect to get full off of pizza alone. Cool atmosphere but can get packed very fast. Kind of hectic with pick up orders on weekend.

G-d bless their GF/cauliflower crust pizzas! I have diabetes and thought pizza was in my past. With these I can eat half a small pizza — more than enough for 1 meal — and while my sugar does spike a little it stays well within the green zone. I’ve tried some of the other cauliflower crusts in the area (Candlelight, Jett, etc) but this one is the tastiest and has the least impact on my glucose. Honestly I can’t tell the difference in taste between this crust and normal thin crust.
Jet is also good, but theirs is thick crust and I can’t eat as much without spiking out of the green zone

My family (10 people) came in yesterday to celebrate my mom and aunt’s birthday. We had an AMAZING experience! Our server, Beatrice, was truly incredible. The epitome of a great server. She was timely, cleared empty cups/plates between courses, brought napkins and new plates/silverware, and got everyone’s order correct, despite many orders having specific modifications. The food was incredible, in particular- the pizza, smoked wings, terriyaki rice bowl with blackened chicken (HUGE portion, made 2 meals out of it!) and the blackened salmon sandwich.
My family has been coming to Bluestone for a long time, and we think they have made awesomely positive changes along the way.
DEFINITELY ask for Beatrice when you go in- you won’t regret it!

I ordered the bbq combo, which includes these excluding the fries, is a good deal at the price. The problem was when you go to eat. The wings, as you can see, were dry as hell. The pulled pork had a gamey taste. The baked beans tasted like straight out of a can. The baked macaroni and cheese was okay, the topping made it dry and it had no flavor. The cornbread was dry and no corn flavor. The only good thing was the coleslaw. I just wish it could have tasted better for the price.

Ate here on a Saturday evening, and sat outside on the patio. Prompt service all evening from start to finish. Food came out quickly and was very good. I would recommend the fried mac and cheese rolls, definitely a new dish for us. Other than that the ribs were decent and the pizza excellent. But menu has plenty of variety. Hope to return soon.

Late lunch on a Saturday and the brunch menu was still available. Looked good, but we were more interested in burgers. The menu seems on the pricey side until you experience the generous servings and food quality. Very good. I had the fireman’s burger with really delicious, crunchy tater tots and we shared the truffle fries and couldn’t finish the large portion. Delicious, though. Burger was great. Jennifer was our server and did everything well, and friendly.
