Went for the first time today after I found out on Google. Ordered the oxtail plate, stew chicken plate, side of saltfish fritters, & an extra side of plantains. (About $46 total)

I live in Stockbridge, Georgia, but I was traveling up to Flowery Branch to attend my sister’s birthday party! She called me and said, “Please pick up the food before you get here.” I went into this establishment and was greeted immediately by some handsome brothers! I always love a great welcome! The associate explained everything in detail about what was inside of each tin and how to properly care/handle the pans of food. I can tell that they really care about what they do!

Food was a bit bland and rice was dry. I came in only 2 hours after opening and the rice tasted a day old. As a vegetarian/pescatarian, I suppose the sauce from the meat dishes is what puts the flavor into the rice. It’s unfortunate as you’d expect the cabbage and rice to be seasoned. Plantains are on the thin side and the veggie patties are now made with spinach and not the cabbage/corn which, instead, I prefer. The coco bread was good.

Great flavorful authentic Jamaican food. Nice portions and friendly staff. Always enjoy stopping by after leaving son’s swim lesson next door. Only been disappointed by food selling out near the end of the day so get there early.

Ask yourself this one question. Do I cook with love? Because we can tell. Tell me why I decided to choose this recommendation today of all days. Ambiance was delightful but the food was off. We’re you ok this day? My food tasted off. And I’m an advocate for Jamaican food. A walking advertisement but this wasn’t it. The rice was slightly crunchy. The cabbage had no taste. I had to mix the juices of the curry to make it taste better. Ordered a beef patty and coco bread to go ate that at home. Bad move. The coco bread tasted off so did the beef patty. Maybe a storage issue or its old. Tasted doughy and odd. As I sit here today. I have to eat a piece of toast for my upset stomach have a good day.

I found this restaurant in my Google search. I was a little bit worried bc these restaurants come and go and aren’t very good. I had oxtails! They were VERY delicious! I love plantains. And the cabbage was so good. Had gravy every where! The gentleman who was very nice made sure we got bread and a meat pie! So yummy!

The food is amazing with great spice and tons of flavor! I tried the oxtail and the stew chicken; it was incredibly fresh and the gravy mixed in with the rice makes it all so much better! Also, everyone was super welcoming. I felt like part of the family! I will definitely be back !

Amazing authentic food. The menu offering is very impressive. Make sure to ask the staff about the different dishes. You will very likely end up ordering something different than what you were originally planning. Great stuff!

Awesome choice. We ordered two plates 1. Oxtail with rice/peas and plantains. 2. Stew Chicken with rice/peas & plantains. On the side we had the coco bread and beef patty. (All Pictured) everything was delicious. I can’t even begin to recommend which both very good. Each plate was served with a helping of cabbage also. Look forward to our next trip .

Stew chicken is not typical stew chicken. The chicken itself is dry, chewy, old, no flavor. I v been to many Jamaican restaurants and this is one of the worst. I don’t get know why lots of people gives it five star…wonder if there is no good Jamaican restaurant in Buford area. Not recommended.
