The best thick Mahi-Mahi that I have eaten in a taco in years. It was Friday Fish Taco and I bit into a delicious bite of the best perfectly cooked fish. The staff were all on some kind of special nice-drug as every one of them were like 500% nice without being annoying. This was my first time to the restaurant after driving by it a thousand times. There was live music, delicious drinks, and a great tv to watch soccer. The staff were all so friendly its was crazy. When you are having a bad day, this restaurant is the real place to go to! It was like the heaven that I want to go to some day. The hostess, the server, the guy who delivered the food, the cook, the guy who changed the channel to soccer, the bar tender-they definitely have the best kind attitude ever. My day went from super stressed to super happy!

We had a party of 8 for the outdoor seating. We paid the extra $5 each to enjoy the live musicians. The music was fantastic! There were 3 dudes playing acoustic and they sounded like Pearl Jam. Why are these guys in a little restaurant and not playing sold out venues? Idk. Anyway! The service was good.
Negatives, I apologize for being negative Nancy.
For starters, we had to request to get actual silverware that was not plastic. I don’t even mean the durable plastic kind, either. It was the REALLY flimsy kind.
We ordered the appetizer Peel and eat shrimp which had a terrible consistency. The shrimp was mushy.
We didn’t know if it was old or overcooked.
He ordered the blackened shrimp. Same problem. I ordered the special with a fish upgrade to red snapper(?) With a crabcake and shrimp. This jacked the price quite a bit.
It was the same with the shrimp and the fish and everything else was so salty, it made me feel totally sick. I took about 5 bites and couldn’t eat any more. Him and I dropped 129 bucks just for us, yet, I couldn’t eat it. I felt really bad. I could not even eat the leftovers because, it was just too much salt. We had others who, later on said they had the same problem with it being way too salty- and not eating their leftovers either.
The environment was cozy.
It doesn’t look high dollar, but it was like visiting old friends sort of feel.
A little overpriced imo.
The gratuity was quietly added because of the size of our party but, that is standard practice in my experience. Just making sure to warn others in larger parties since it was not obvious if you weren’t looking for it.

First of all I will just say its a beautiful scenery and the staff was very pleasant. I decided to sit outside at the bar for lunch. It was very busy. My first thought was there is only one bar tender struggling to keep up. He did very u well and was very polite and attentive. I ordered a half n half basket with the fried oysters and fried shrimp with fries. When my food came out I l9oked at the plate and there were 5 fried little pieces of oyster and 4 very small shrimp with a basket of fried. I feel like 16 dollars should have definitely given more food. It was disappointing. The oysters tastes pretty good however the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Fries were fine however thats not what I came for.

This was our first experience here. I cannot say enough great things! We had the flame grilled oysters, the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and crawfish royal and the smoked tuna dip! Everything was delicious. It was a beautiful afternoon lunch on the water. Will absolutely recommend and be back!

I had Black& Maui Maui hush puppies and fries. My wife had shrimp , hush puppies and fries .
Both were good. Also don’t forget about the key ️ lime pie for dessert.

Party of 9, one from out of town and wanted seafood. I tried making reservations at another restaurant on the causeway that I’ve heard was good, but the wait was too long. Sooo…we decided on Bluegill.
3 of us got the crabcakes…o m g….we SERIOUSLY had to get a search warrant to find “any” crabmeat. I’m not exaggerating…it was a ball of dough with some type of unseasoned stuffing mix….not even a “faint” taste of crab..WHAT A RIP! I wasn’t going to say anything, but when the others made a comment, I knew then I wasn’t the only one. They should really be ashamed of themselves for charging what they do and calling them “crabcakes!” The crab claws were good…small but good, little basket way overpriced for the small amount we got. The one person got the roast beef sandwich with dip and said it was good. I’m saving the best for last…the crabmeat omelet. My husband read it on the menu and said oh….I’ve GOT to try this. I hate I didn’t take a picture of it. The bread was so thick and the “omelet” was seriously maybe two eggs, green peppers and onion but I kid you not, absolutely no seasoning, salt, nothing! Flat as a pancake and tough. Sorry…the price and quality, never again!

We had a great visit today! Megan and Kendall took great care of us. The view was awesome, and the vibe was perfect. My fiance and I split a platter, and we were both full by the end. There’s also a nice place to sit that overlooks the water.
