Was looking for a new brunch spot that served bloodies and mimosas. Stopped in about 10am. We were seated but didn’t see anyone for awhile so finally the host came to ask us for drinks. We did a mimosa flight and a bloody. We then waited about 20 mins for drinks as two other servers came by to talk about the mimosas as apparently no one there knew what the flights were. We could even hear them talking that no one knew where the serving items were for the flights. Hey, we’re all learning, right? Though your menu does say “ask about our mimosa flights!”

We went in yesterday for lunch. They have a great lunch special menu with good prices. We ordered the Fish & Chips and a Chicken Caesar wrap. The food was very good. Well seasoned and good portions. Waitress was friendly.

Me and my family stopped and stayed the night at the Bangor Grande Hotel that this restaurant is attached to and decided to have supper here. We came to eat at 7:30 in the afternoon and basically had the entire dining room to ourselves, though there were several people at tables and the bar which are located in the restaurants lounge. I’ve been told the hotel and restaurant have recently undergone renovations, so that could explain the lack of customers. The service was very polite if a bit quiet. I ordered the Mac ‘n’ cheese whereas my other family member ordered the Classic Burger, a Strawberry Pecan Salad with chicken, and the Broiled Haddock with small red potatoes and a side salad. Portions were great and the taste of the food was excellent as well. Definitely would recommend for dinner, though I believe they also serve breakfast and brunch.

My wife went here by herself. A man across the bar insulted her, and the bartender did nothing. He was gone by the time I showed up. She also had waited over an hour for fish and chips. Ridiculous! We asked them to just charge us for drinks and we’d go. They accidentally charged us for the food we never got and we had to wait another half hour for them to straighten out our bill.

I ordered the baked haddock it wasnt cooked, actually the fish was spoiled! The mashed potatoes were cold! They didn’t charge me for the fish but charged me for the side salad that came with the meal. The waitress had no clue about anything on the menu, when asked about dessert she didn’t know what was being offered and went to check and came back out to say there was one piece of brownie left! Honestly I’m a chef and how could anyone not know the haddock was bad?? I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Sadly I can’t leave this place a good review. I hope it was just an off night but the entire experience was a mess. We ordered fish and a turkey avacado sandwich. More than 20 minutes pass and the bartender comes over to tell us the fish is ready but the sandwich isn’t. Another 20 minutes passes with no follow up from staff. Finally another bartender comes over and we ask him to check on our food. Magically it FINALLY comes out…with no turkey on the sandwich. They tried to hide the fact that they messed up, no sincere apology. They took the sandwich off the bill…until we went to pay, then it was magically back on the bill. This took a remarkably long time to fix. Absolutely horrible experience. If you’re out of something a customer orders, just tell them. Don’t try to hide it. Won’t return.

My friends and I came here to celebrate our friends 21st birthday, we decided to stay at this hotel for the amenities and the fact that there is a restaurant and bar inside of the hotel. We seated ourselves and were approached by our server, she wasn’t very welcoming in my opinion. We ordered our food we ordered some drinks and waited for approximately 30 minutes until one of the bartenders approached the table in a very unfriendly, and extremely unprofessional manner. He brought a black light and checked our ids and claimed that they were fake because 2 of them were not yet converted to a real Id and didn’t have the “hologram”. The whole situation was very frustrating, and really honestly ruined our evening, my poor friend was so upset and embarrassed by this establishment, because we had to ask to cancel our food and other orders so we could find another restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Not only do I not recommend this ” lounge” I also do not recommend the hotel as a whole. DO BETTER!!!!!
