The server was great but the cooks are horrible. She even took my eggs back because they were runny and I got them back the same way. I’ve never had eggs look dirty. I asked for crispy bacon and tthey decided to be cute and burn it. The french toast was even burnt on the edges. If you want slop the hogs quality of food go here if not avoid. The cooks if you want to call them that are horrible and they need to learn how to clean their grill.

Very impressed, we came here a very long time ago and did not like it. We tried it again and wow what a difference. They remodeled and really made it a fun atmosphere. Great wrap around bar, events most evenings like trivia and live music on the weekends. The food was incredible, weekly specials also make it so there is something new to try each week. We have now been for dinner twice and breakfast once over the last month. The only critique would be with service, it was good but one of our servers could not answer any questions about the menu and forgot to bring us one so we didn’t even know about some of the items being offered. The bartenders definitely have their regulars and like to chat with them so sometimes you have to wave them over to get something but overall they were super friendly and this is minor. We look forward to going back again soon.

Service was slow and so was business on a mo day night. Atmosphere is bland and unappealing but thats only 1st glance as I was only there for pickup order. The food was just horrendous chicken parm with linguine not sure if the penny pinches could afford to put more than the spritz of marinara on it they did but it was probably for the best as the food tasted like the smoking side of an old casino does. I know that sound s wierd but I had to check because I thought someone may have flicked ashes in the food by the way it tasted. Thats the best I can articulate just how disgusting this food was. I’d order the Italian chicken sandwich at Burger King any day of the week and twice on a sunday before ever ordering the chicken parm or any pasta dish from this place again and thats not a positive for burger king just an indicator of how low the bar is set to to exceed blue sky lounge food. Secondly I ordered a French onion soup what I got was a cup stuffed with bread sponge that absorbed what ever liquid was even in it. Key word is soup. There were no onions just a beef consume salt lick laden bread pudding. This food wouldnt pass the quality control check for inmate food let alone food they expect to be paid for. Whomever is running that kitchen needs to be either fired or taught how to cook food. Or perhapse should simply taste the slop theyre cooking before serving it. I cant advise against eating here any more strongly..if your in the hotel or the one next to it and had a ling day and just want something you dint have to drive for, take the drive weather its 10 minutes or 2 hrs away it’ll be worth it to avoid this culinary train wreck.

The wait staff were very friendly and patient with customers. The Cajun chicken Alfredo was way too salty. My beverages were made perfectly. The atmosphere was a cross between a 1980’s banquet hall and your local gin mill. Don’t get me wrong I love a local gin mill. Food needs major improvement. Staff doesn’t need a thing. The local country band was very good. I was impressed.

Me and my family stopped and stayed the night at the Bangor Grande Hotel that this restaurant is attached to and decided to have supper here. We came to eat at 7:30 in the afternoon and basically had the entire dining room to ourselves, though there were several people at tables and the bar which are located in the restaurants lounge. I’ve been told the hotel and restaurant have recently undergone renovations, so that could explain the lack of customers. The service was very polite if a bit quiet. I ordered the Mac ‘n’ cheese whereas my other family member ordered the Classic Burger, a Strawberry Pecan Salad with chicken, and the Broiled Haddock with small red potatoes and a side salad. Portions were great and the taste of the food was excellent as well. Definitely would recommend for dinner, though I believe they also serve breakfast and brunch.

This was by far one of my top 5 favorite dining experiences in the Bangor area! I could eat a bucket of that mac n’ cheese I enjoyed every part of my visit. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick. That little fireplace area with the leather chairs is .
If anyone from Blue Sky sees this, can I make a suggestion? Please, please, please, please (notice how many pleases) can you host a singles dating event in your lounge? Particularly for the minority 25-40 group that has stuck it out here in Maine for now? Your locale would be perfect for such things. And Bangor DESPERATELY needs to remake its young person scene. Especially for the non druggy, nor alcohol drinking population.
Please. If not for Christmas, in 2025? I would love you even more

The drinks were good- the food portions in comparison to the pricing weren’t great. I got the 4 cheese tortellini with spinach vodka sauce and added steak tips. I received boxed tortellini, approximately 30 small pieces- like literally a single layer of them on the plate. I didn’t hate the vodka sauce but I wouldn’t eat it again. The steak tips were delicious but I’m still hungry.
