With that being said. I am a super fan of this restaurant. It’s one of a kind. I live in Houston now but when I come to the valley this is a must for me. Their things I love the most if their Artichoke Dip and their Hummus with garlic and olive oil. And their pita bread is delicious. Their pizzas are one of a kind and their FAJITAAAAA IS Immaculate! Their service is not bad but it’s not top game yet. But the food makes up for the slow service you might get here at times. The managers are always busy and work hard to deliver quality food. And they are super nice people.

I had lunch on a Sunday and ordered the fajita Alpastor wrap for the tenth time and the quality has gone down. The fajita did not have the membrane/skin taken off and it was extremely chewy. I had not had that problem before and I hope it was only this once. The pizzas were good.

We ordered Blue Onion through the Favor app for our Saturday night date night in, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely LOVED my wrap, and my date went on and on about his calzone. They were delicious. I saved the sides that came with my wrap for today, and they tasted even better than last night. Looking forward to dining in soon.

Spouse and I had the lunch special. Small calzone with tasty crust and nicely presented black bean soup. Cheese and cilantro topping was perfect complement to hearty soup. Both calzones we tried – the blue onion and the grilled veggie – were delicious. Excellent service – fast and attentive- even though they were fairly busy. Many vegetarian options on the menu looked great, so we will have to go back. Very extensive beer list with lots of local Texas brews.

Food quality was good, as usual, for the Blue Onion. I had the Al Pastor Pizza, which I usually get at the Weslaco location. It was very tasty, but it had very little meat on it. It’s usually loaded with diced fajitas in Weslaco. Not so much here. Also, service was a little slow, and our server disappeared for long stretches. I don’t usually come to this location, so it is possible that was an anomaly.

Good and value for the money food place…I like this place because they genuinely respect the veggitariens…..very few of restaurants in McAllen area those are surving vegetarian food….I would request to management keep it up and enrich your menu with more vegetarian food items …All the very best….
