This restaurant tops my list for sumptuous food and beachside ambience to celebrate a special day.
We were a group of 5, ordered appies and different entrees: steak, lobster fettuccine, cod morzo, salad, and fish & chips. Each dish beautifully presented, every bite was satisfying. Our wait time wasn’t as bad, we dined on a stat holiday for dinner and our meals arrived in 20~ mins.
What truly elevated the night, though, was the exceptional service from Ben. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely welcoming. He made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish.
The surprise birthday dessert was a sweet touch. Thanks, Blue Canoe! (Also to all the servers who did not hesitate to take our pics when we asked)
An all-around outstanding experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Hello Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant, we just had an awesome birthday seafoods dinner, lobster n pasta, fish and chips, ciopppino and sandwich and we all had a wonderful dinner, all foods we ordered were top notch, the taste was all delicately balanced, and the service was fast and attentive, we were assigned a table at the corner in the patio that gave us a better atmosphere with the sunset.
Kage was outstanding with his friendly and nurturing demeanor, prompt with our orders and never fail to do follow ups, Kage was always around when we needed him and he anticipated things we needed and most of all Kage has the sincerest heartwarming smile which made us all feel like his long time acquaintances. Thank you Blue Canoe team for the fantastic foods and kudos to Kage for making our birthday celebration a night to remember. From all of us, Cheers and Blessings.

The only reason this isn’t one stars is because our server was genuinely kind. But beyond that? The entire experience was a mess.
• Drunk customers were talking loudly with the staff, like it was a pub hangout — not a relaxing dinner spot.
• The menu was confusing and felt more like a guessing game than a dining experience.
• We were rushed to order early because, apparently, the place had no business and they wanted to close up. That’s not hospitality — that’s just lazy.
Food was okay at best, not worth the price or the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a peaceful dinner or even just decent vibes, this isn’t it. Absolutely not recommended.

The Worst Restaurant I have been.
I was there with my 10-year-old kid. The menu was a bit confusing, so I asked the waiter to recommend something. What came was a spicy burger. My kid had been playing all day and was very hungry. He took a big bite and immediately felt uncomfortable, constantly drinking water and complaining of stomachache and chest pain. I told the waiter about the situation. She said they could replace the burger bun with hot sauce. I agreed.The service was very slow. The reserved table was also in a bad location. When it was time to pay, they gave me the wrong bill first, then the correct one and asked me to make up the difference. I noticed that the bill had an extra 3 dollar for the burger bun. I called the manager, She was very nice Just the attitude. She said sorry for the hamburger bun but also showed me the machine page to tip for additionalprice difference. I looked at the manager and she chose “no tip”. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Blue canoe ! Despite a nearly half-hour wait (which speaks to its popularity!), it was absolutely worth it. The food was simply outstanding. The calamari was truly something special – wildly crispy and perfectly cooked. My smoked tuna sandwich was delicious, and I heard rave reviews about the chef’s double burger – apparently, it was incredibly tasty.
Beyond the incredible food, the view of Steveston Harbour is stunning, creating a wonderful atmosphere. To top it all off, our server was attentive and genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great time. We left feeling completely satisfied and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Canoe Blue!

The mussel was really good and full of flavor. The fish was a bit on the greasy side, but still tasty. The fries were decent—not amazing, but not bad either. What really stood out was the atmosphere warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal.

Oct-25. The crab cake was XL sized and included 3 medium grilled shrimp. 2 of those plus the calamari was perfect for us. Staff was wonderful. Porch/dock side with a view & beautiful weather made it a perfect experience.
