First time at Blue Bay Dinner and it was a good experience. The staff was nice and attentive. The food was decent. The price was alright. Overall it was a good experience. When we went in the morning it wasn’t busy at all and we got a table right away. Parking might be hard to find in this area. This place also have to go food if you are interested. For some reason this place only serves breakfast in the morning instead of a traditional dinner where they give you all the options to choose from. However, if you ask the server for a lunch menu or a lunch menu meal they will give it to you. Or try too.

I have been going to the Bluebay Diner in Riverdale for the last twenty-five years. I always enjoyed the quality and variety of my meals there. Ever since the owners, Chris and Alex left the restaurant, the quality of the food has gone downhill. I haven’t eaten meat in several years, opting for salmon dinners or grilled chicken. I made the mistake of ordering a London Broil sandwich and mushroom barley soup several days ago. I ended up throwing it all away! The London Broil was exceptionally chewy, and had no distinguishing flavor. The soup was oily, and was also not to my liking. I was very disappointed. This past meal was a deal breaker for me.

Only rating this place on my one visit, this morning. I have to say their Blue Bay omelette is probably the best I’ve had at a diner in my life. The home fries that came with it were excellent as well. Everything was flavorful and had a nice amount of char to it (which I love). My server, Jorge, was really friendly and attentive. I will definitely return next time I need a big breakfast in this neighborhood!

The steak burger is delicious!!! Juicy, tasty and quality. Wait staff are very attentive. My complaint is the prices. Ridiculously overpriced for a diner. This is not a fancy restaurant!!! I love the breakfasts there but the new prices are outrageous. They don’t care because they are the only diner within walking distance for many of the older people in Riverdale. They cannot compare to Tibbett Diner which offers better food, bigger portions and better prices!

I love the newly updated menu. More healthy options that actually taste better than super high-calorie dishes. Many moderately priced dinners (soup, salad, entree, vegetable and potatoes.) Great omelettes and specialty chicken sandwiches.

I was thrilled that they allowed my dog to sit with me outside but I was very disappointed that they had real maple syrup on the menu and did not have any to serve. Otherwise the food was basic diner fair
