My first time having a Navajo Indian taco, and even though I have nothing to compare it to, I still feel like saying that this first one was pretty damn good! It’s worth mentioning that our waitress screwed up and gave me a half order at matched my plus ones half order, she admitted the mistake corrected it by bringing me a full order and never charged me for the half. I’m a big man with a big appetite and I ate one and a half and it was all I could do to get it down. I have nothing to say bad about the place it was a great experience overall.

I’ve eaten here 5 times and I have always had a positive experience. The food is fresh, the service nice, and the atmosphere relaxed! I have eaten here with friends and alone to work on paperwork and both times have been fantastic. I highly recommend the pretzel appetizer and the jalapeno popper burger! Unique and fun.

DELICIOUS
Passing through Cortez, we ate at Blondies.
We watched the Super Bowl & enjoyed several unique menu options such as the Navajo burger. The beef was flavorful & cooked to perfection for our medium rare pink burger with an excellent chili.
Great service too. Blondies goes way beyond bar food!!!!! Fun, clean, affordable lodging at the Retro Inn also on Main.

Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had. I got the Fritter and my husband got the open face Mac and cheese burger! The service was pretty good. Fun environment. I’d recommend this place to friends and family for sure!

After several visits to Blondie’s Trophy Room, my experience last night leaves me confident that i will never return to this spot again.

After bringing my family here for dinner several months ago, i had already written off Blondie’s as a destination for good dinner. The service was negligent and slow and the food was soggy and flavorless. There are several better restaurants within walking distance if you’re looking for a quality dining experience.

However, i wasn’t ready to give up on Blondie’s as a good local dive bar. As someone who worked at dive bars for years, i could appreciate Blondie’s for what (i thought) it was. A laid back spot where locals and visitors of all types could come to enjoy cheap drinks and greasy food and maybe a game or two of pool. Never mind the fact that it often smells like sewage or that there are obvious underaged kids being served liquor. That’s just part of the small town charm, yeah?

All charm was lost after last night’s visit. I cannot in good conscience support a business that allows its patrons to be sexually harassed, verbally abused, and threatened. I came to Blondie’s with a group of friends and locals (who have historically supported this spot any chance they got). We had just come from an event and were in costume, so we stuck out in that regard. However, everyone in our group was totally respectful, minded our own business, and just wanted to enjoy a drink with one another.

Immediately upon our arrival, one man who had clearly been over served (as was evidenced by his slur and crossed eyes), started gawking and making comments at us, all of which were ignored.

At one point in the evening, as we were waiting to order a drink, the same man started throwing slurs and threats to my friend – completely unprovoked. All of this took place right in front of the bartender (possibly the owner?) who didn’t intervene. Realizing that this grown man was unwilling to do the right (and frankly -legally compliant-) thing by cutting off and kicking out the aggressive patron, i went to stand next to my friend and create a barrier between him and the belligerent drunk. It was at this point that the man looked me in the eyes and said he was going to “beat all our asses”. When i asked “did you just say you’d beat my ass?”, he said “i’ll turn you into pavement”. It was at this point that my group decided to leave, as it was obvious that the bartender was willing to let this altercation escalate and we didn’t want to be part of any violence. On the way out, another patron made disgusting comments in reference to lewd acts being performed on his (presumptively small) genitals.

At an earlier point in the evening, an apparently drunk man was denied the use of Blondie’s phone to call for a ride (also a big no-no at an establishment that serves alcohol – there’s an opportunity for you to facilitate a safe ride home for someone, but instead you chose to put them and possibly others at risk by allowing them to drive drunk). Then the same bartender did nothing to prevent the drunk man from approaching me and my girlfriends and asking to use our phones. Again, when you work at an establishment that serves liquor, it’s your job to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for your patrons. Blondie’s staff failed to do that on numerous fronts last night.

Now more than ever, it’s important to be mindful of how you spend your money and which businesses to support. It’s clear to me now that my money and patronage is far more deserved by businesses that don’t tolerate threats, harassment, or discrimination.

We came in on February 7th around 5:00. We had to wait 15 minutes just to order our drinks and another 15 to order food. I understand if it’s really busy, but there were only a few other tables and the server was dragging her feet doing ANY task. If you’re gonna ditch your table, punch in the food so the chef can AT LEAST get started on the food. TERRIBLE service.

Updste: Tonight we went for my birthday celebration. The waitress was getting ready to leave and so she did not wait on us and let the next waitress. The place was filling up quickly and this poor waitress was slammed. That’s why they only got three stars for service but it was not her fault. My food was not the best this time around.

This place looks like an old bar. Nice and clean. Service was great. Food was delicious. Prices reflect local area.

best place we’ve ever eaten in Colorado! wasn’t sure what to expect but the menu looked good and we were not disappointed! their house made stuffed poppers were out of this world. I got the open faced Mac n cheese and my husband got the red eye burger. Both cooked to the way we ordered (MR is hard to achieve so we always have low expectations) and those were also just so good! Great prices for great portions. This will definitely be a staple every time we pass through.
