I wouldn’t crave Los Pepe’s, but the nachos were decent aside from the tough shredded beef. The guacamole was the best part of the meal! Sadly, the cheese quesadilla was cool temperature-wise almost immediately. Not enjoyable. My friend took most of it home.

The service was good, the restrooms clean, and there’s ample parking. It’s a decent option if you’re hungry and already at the Battle Ground library area, but I’d much prefer to grab the tasty Mexican food from the food carts and go to a park or just eat there. Los Pepe’s needs to take their food quality up a notch IMO. Not a lot of love put into the food.

Oh my Gosh! I have to give this Los Pepe’s a 5 star review. We went there while I was out visiting family from Colorado and when we got there they were unexpectedly really busy but they did their absolute best and one of the family members who was most likely the General Manager waited on us personally and he was so nice. He even shared some celebratory tequila with us that he brought back from Mexico and it was great. The food was delicious, the restaurant was very nice and especially the staff. I’m definitely going back next time I’m in visiting Washington! Thanks again Jose for a great evening!

My wife and I recently visited Los Pepe’s and were greeted warmly by the waitress who quickly seated us and offered us drinks, chips, and salsa. The cozy and comfortable atmosphere made us feel welcome, although the seating could have been improved. Nonetheless, we didn’t feel too close to our neighboring tables.

The beef flautaus were exceptionally delicious, and my wife enjoyed the steak fajitas. The food quality and overall experience were great, and we would definitely come back again and recommend this restaurant to others.

The prices were reasonable and the fast service was great, making it an overall enjoyable dining experience. Los Pepe’s offers a great option for those looking for a delicious Mexican meal in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Overall, I highly recommend Los Pepe’s to anyone seeking a great dining experience with high-quality food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a standout restaurant in the area.

Was our first time at this restaurant and wont be the last! Loved how clean it was. And the interior had the authentic mexican vibe going that added to the fun! Food was delicious and didn’t kill the pocketbook. Server was so nice! It is a place we will return to next time we are in that area.

An excellent restaurant I stumbled upon tonight, easily the best mexican restaurant I have been to in the last 2-3 years.
I had an amazing time dining with 2 friends there tonight.
I must mention a couple dishes that I feel can not be improved upon, and I am a accomplished cook. Los Pepes restaurant is just an absolute recommend.*****

Outstanding dishes tonight, they were perfectly seasoned, prepared, and cooked. The three I tried tonight, I would recommend without hesitation.

(1) the “mini” Tostadas de Ceviche, the size of everyone elses regular tostadas, came 3 to the plate and no expense spared in their preparation or flavor. Real fresh lime juice used, no cost cutting with just white vinegar like many places do. The perfect level of seasoning, prepared to the right texture and ratio of ingredients. I thought my home made Ceviche was great, but this was better.

(2) Codorniz – Quail in a sweet lime smokey chipotle sauce, that was charcoal grilled with a citrus slice that was cooked on top of it adding a zest to the overall flavor. A slight mole look, but unique flavor that grew on me and got better with each bite. Bold but not overpowering, and became more enjoyable with each moist, fall off the bone, perfectly cooked bite.

And for desert (3) Deep fried ice cream, usually a desert gimmic for mexican restaurants, but wow they perfected this item. It is big enough to share between 2 or 3 people, or take some home. The caramel, vanilla, cinamon la leche crisp shell was perfect, add a crisp not overly hard fried tortilla base, generous whip cream, and a sprinkling of cinnamon and a touch of something else and I wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing Service. None of the “well since covid” excuses, nothing wrong, attitudes, timing, attention, just right. Atmosphere was NOT overly charged with bad music or a roar of speaking enhanced by poor accoustics. Pleasant ambient volume allowed speaking at a regular volume without being hard to hear, or awkwardly quite. Clean, comfortably lit, beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating, and a very well stocked and curated bar selection.

The cocktails were poured correctly not over powered by unasked for generous pours, but not watered down either.
Some instagram worthy huge fish bowl style glass drinks as well.

When I peeked into the kitchen, and truly handcapped accessible bathroom I was impressed with the attention to proper planning, thoughtful layout, fixture selection and placement, that appears to be regularly maintained, resulting in amazing cleanliness and attention to upkeep.

A great place for a date night, or a couple nights a week. Worth driving all the way to Battle Ground, WA., even if coming from as far away as Portland or Kelso.

I feel like they could easily raise their prices 20-40% and I would still feel great about the place. ( This is the first review EVER where I have felt this way about )

Hmmm where to start. I have my mom with her dog that has papers so he is allowed in a restaurant or store. Is it what I like? Nope. I prefer to leave emotional support pets at home. Anyway as we were going in they very strongly said NO DOGS. My mom is trying to explain the situation and they don’t care. They said we had to go on the patio. No problem. Except we have to walk around outside to do so. No problem. Except my grandson who is 5 had already gone in and was getting a place to sit and the chair fell over. The other 3 adults did not see this. They had already walked around outside. So I have the dog and my grandson. I chose to walk in and help my grandson while I am holding the dog. The lady is yelling at me. Seriously there is nothing I can do at this moment. A 2nd man comes up and yells at me. THERE ARE NO DOGS ALLOWED! I put my hand up and said STOP! I KNOW. I DON’T HAVE A CHOICE RIGHT NOW. I AM TRYING TO GET WHERE YOU WANT ME TO BE. He definitely stopped yelling at me. Now meals. I ordered chicken taqquitos. Apparently you have to order rolled tacos and not chicken taqquitos as that is really a sliced up burrito. Who knows. My friend ordered the shrimp salad. There was no dressing on it. She went inside to get some and they said they don’t put dressing on it. IT IS A SALAD. I will not be coming back here. Not that they would want me to. I should have listened to my friends who told me not to come.

Huge menu at decent prices. The food was pretty good (I try to save 5 stars for truly life changing meals) and the staff was kind and swift. There are both indoor and outdoor areas and had no wait to be seated.

Will definitely come again the next time I’m visiting.

This Battle Ground restaurant is tucked away in a newer area of town. I just happened to stumble upon it by chance.

It’s very nice inside and offers a small outdoor seating area too. The waitress was incredibly pleasant and attentive.

The complimentary chips were nice and warm; the salsa was quite mild. I ordered a side of chunky guacamole which looked amazing but wasn’t very tasty. It was a fair portion but for $7.50 I was not thrilled considering the flavor.

For my entree I enjoyed the enchiladas suizas from the lunch menu. They were delicious and a great value for under $10. They came with a side of black beans that were too salty to eat.

The bar looked great but unfortunately I couldn’t grab a drink during the workday. Next time!

Never again. My Fiancee went for me to pick up a burrito. I only chose this place because they have good habanero sauce. They refused to sell him a cup of habanero, and then didn’t even include 1 tiny ounce of that sauce. On top of this they only gave us 4 little cups of regular, bland salsa. The burrito was made with ground beef, yuck, and it was so salty my Fiancee couldn’t even eat it. I choose my Mexican places based on salsa alone, usually, but this was the worst Mexican food ever, and I’m 50, from AZ. I’ve had a lot of Mexican food in my lifetime

They do the food well at lunch, but dinner not at all.
Couldn’t get our orders right. Had to ask twice to get the rice and beans for the fajitas, and twice for the beans and beans for the street tacos.
The limes for the tacos were dried out. The fajitas were greasy and severely lacking the steak. The tortilla under the fried ice cream was cooked in burnt oil.
Over all not pleased.
