Definitely a hidden gem! My husband and I have been looking for places on the ocean side that serve crab legs but have not found anything until we saw this place. They had great crab legs, shrimp, crab dip and seafood feast. The portion sizes were great for the price. Jamie was our waitress and she was quick to fill our drinks and get anything we needed! We did not bring our young boys with us this time but I would feel comfortable bringing them next time. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Wanted steamed seafood while at the coast and Blackbeard’s was recommended. The vibe was as expected (casual, slow paced, a generally not-as-clean-as-you’d-like atmosphere). The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food was just OK- we ordered clams, snow crab legs, peel & eat shrimp, and salad/veggies. The salad was tasty and fresh. The snow crab legs were warm, easy to pick, butter tasted great, but were watery. The shrimp was not good— it was watery, the cocktail sauce was too sweet/thick/not enough horseradish, and the shrimp had a lot of size variation (some big, most small, some extremely small). Not enough seasoning/old bay. If we were back in town we would pass on eating here again.

I’ve been coming to this area for 41 years and came across this gem for the first time!! It’s hard to find good seafood at the beach sometimes oddly enough but they have the best fried shrimp I’ve EVER had!!! The blue cheese dressing was amazing, hush puppies, sweet potato casserole and the crab rangoons were memorable as well! You may not expect this pulling into the parking lot but you won’t be disappointed

This place was absolutely amazing. I got the black beards platter which consisted of grouper bites, shrimp, crabcake, and then as two sides, I got homemade coleslaw and a sweet potato salad, which all was amazing. My husband got the create a platter that consisted of grouper and flounder bites, and then both of our kids got the popcorn shrimp as well. Again, food was amazing, Loved the atmosphere and the service was top-notch highly recommend!

Good atmosphere, great service, and amazing food! We got the yum yum shrimp for appetizer, seafood bisque, shrimp plate with sweet potato casserole (sooooo good!), and chicken tender salad. Everything was great! Shout out to our server, Jamee, for a great experience!

Totally random find while making our way to Cedar Island Ferry. We sat at the bar for dinner and the place was totally fun of locals. Thursday night has sushi night, but I wasn’t feeling it. Although, the sushi rolls brought out were looking pretty awesome, large cuts of sushi made in a very large roll…. Next time. We sat at the bar and serious was decent, it was busy and the gals were hustling…….. Great draft kraft beer selection! I went with the stuffed soft shelled crab and my wife got the fried oysters. 100% excellent and one of my favorite seafood meals I have had on the coast. I posted some pics, enjoy!

Being its owned by islanders one would think they could go there and get a great seafood meal. Not so…very unusual fried seafood taste. And, the slaw sucks too. Been there 3 times, it sucked all three times. Oh I paid, even gave the waitress a tip…but I found it strange I sent back an appetizer and meal and not one word was said

Food was excellent, we were staying in the community for the week and went there twice. The crab was caught the same day by the cook, and it was awesome! All of the food was top tier along with the service!

This was easily the best restaurant we’ve been to around the area. This was our first time in NC, and we aren’t big on seafood, so we were happy there were lots of non seafood options ! The chicken tenders were so so good and my boyfriend loved his steak. The mashed potatoes were amazing also !!
