I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good food and an amazing staff. This is my 3rd time being here, and I love it. Especially if you’re a trucker like me, you’ll love spots like this one very convenient. THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT THERE NOT OPEN 24/7 LOL. This is a truck stop, and it would’ve been amazing to have it all night and day open, but it’s okay so for.

All-around best restaurant we’ve been to so far in the Barstow area. Family friendly. Loved the atmosphere and the menus. All of the employees were very kind. Service was quick! Food was delicious and plenty of it for the price. My husband had the Western BBQ Burger which he said was the best he has ever had. He’s military and has had burgers all over the country, so that’s saying something! I had the Turkey Club meal and an extra side order of broccoli to share with my baby. The sweet potato steak fries were amazing. My 3 year old’s favorite part was the brownie sundae. We will be back and definitely recommend!!

This is my favorite place to eat in Barstow. Its very convenient for truck drivers. It’s clean, the staff still know how to wait tables and are courteous. The prices are still decent even after Bidenflation. The food is good. I get a steak dinner for about $30. The bathrooms are super clean, which is important to my ride-a-long wife. The entrance is literally steps away from where we park at the TA. Good experience every time!

This black bear is attached to the TA in Barstow CA. Have eaten here twice and on both times I can say I enjoyed the food. I love the corn bread muffins with the soup. The salads are very big.

Update: I am dropping my review from two stars to one. After expressing my disdain for this restaurant, someone reached out and advised they hope I return so they can provide a better experience. I advised I was not interested in doing so because it was moot at that point. I would have much rather had the person say they understood and would do better, not invite me to spend more money on yet another poor experience.

We’ve been to this location MANY times over the years and this was by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Our waitress Shamis if you call her that SUCKED. NOT 1 Time did she come and see if we NEEDED anything!!! Candie had helped us with extras I needed and it was nice to see Cesar again. Both CESAR & CANDIE ARE SO AWESOME . NEEDLESS TO SAY SHAMIS NO TIP Just was in a week or so ago and gave CESAR GREAT REVIEWS

I love Black Bear Diners. Servers are always nice and hard-working. My order is always correct. The food comes out quickly. They have great iced tea and cold brew coffee. I stopped in omw to Vegas. I was tired and hungry and needed a break. I wasn’t made to feel rushed. They were busy, but several staff checked on me. I had a tuna melt and added avocado. I got a house salad with blue cheese instead of fries. It was a good size and tasty. It was all so good! That cold brew was so strong I flew to Vegas in my car. I did have my own hazelnut creamer I added in my car cooler, but know it did the job and was cool and refreshing on a 116+ degree day, not kidding. I have stopped here before going between LV and Cali and will definitely stop again. Thanks Black Bear!

4th of July special for Veterans, but even if I had paid full price, this was by far one of the most PEFECTLY cooked meals EVER at a TA or PETRO in over 30 years of driving commercially. SUPER NICE JOB!! And thank you for being sufficiently staffed. Service was fantastic, everyone in good mood, pleasant, but quick. Very EFFICIENT!!!

Always, and I mean always phenomenal food. I love Friday and Saturday when they have the prime rib. It is so unexpected to find it in a truck stop. To have a cut of prime rib of this quality is almost nonexistent in a truck stop. My server nick was also amazing. As busy as they were. He always made sure to stop by and check on me. I always had a fresh beer, he made sure of that. You have to stop and eat as much as you can here.
