One of them was a warm chocolate lava–style cake served with matcha ice cream and whipped cream. The cake was rich and dense without being overly sweet, and the pistachio ice cream added a nice contrast with its subtle nutty flavor. It felt balanced rather than heavy, which I appreciated.
The second dessert was a layered chocolate mousse cake. It had distinct layers — a chocolate base with smooth mousse and a lighter cream layer on top. The texture was soft and airy, and again, not overly sweet. You could tell it was made with care rather than just being sugar-heavy.
Presentation was clean and elegant, portions were just right, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, a great spot if you enjoy well-made, classic desserts with good balance and attention to detail. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the mood for chocolate done right.
Atmosphere was clean and modern. Sad part is that this place is tucked away behind Jimmy John’s and Big bowl so I bet people don’t see this perfect place.
The food can sometimes surprise you with the fusion twist, but it’s a delicious surprise. And you can tell the food is made is love, creativity, and pride.
The menu also gets updated from time to time, so you may find a new favorite! (I’m hoping to see my favorite pork belly & rice dish make a return.)
I’m a big fan of the Seafood Explosion and Crispy Duck Rolls appetizers.
The space itself is clean, bright, and cozy. And yes, there are swings at a few of the tables, adding a bit of whimsy to your dining experience. This is also a touch you won’t find anywhere in town.
Give them a try and chances are, you’ll be asking yourself why you hadn’t gone before!
Great ambiance and great food. The burn veggie noodles is surely the best one I have had here in State College. Ask them for the spicy version of the same so that you can actually get the real taste of the noodles. (Only if you like spicy food, of course)
