Discovered a lovely restaurant with a nice Menu and the food was Good. They had a Dish of the day ,chicken supreme with its jus and carrot mashed for 21 chf.
My partner went for the Frogs legs (excellent )and I had the Crusty prawns with squash puré in a Roquefort /cafe sauce (excellent) Portions were correct .They came with salad which was simple but good as well. Had 2 glasses of Sauvignon blanc, 1 coco light ,small bottle of water and 2 coffees ,which came with 2 chocolates , all this for 107.00chf..In all Correct.

This local bistro is a hidden gem, far from the tourist crowds. I’ve been a regular for the past four years, and it has never disappointed. The staff is always friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are consistently perfect, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and commitment to quality. Additionally, they offer an excellent selection of wines, perfectly curated to complement the menu. This place truly stands out for its authenticity and dedication to providing a memorable dining experience every time.

It’s a Michelin Bib Gourmand, right, sweetheart? So we already went with high expectations!
I was having a “blasé” day and ended up ordering things that I don’t appreciate much, but even so, everything was very well made! Delicious!
The politeness of the service is a plus.
Fair prices and a very pleasant evening!
Go there! But make a reservation first, ok?

4.5 stars!

Small food menu. But with enough variety.
Wine menu is good and some nice options for wine by glass including champagne.

The food is great! Not the healthiest of options. But the flavour is absolutely there.

Service is good and the place does get busy for dinner.

Prices are on the average side. Especially for Geneva.

With a stop.

My favourite restaurant in Geneva! Cozy French style brasserie interior, great ambience always. The owner and chef is very kind, friendly and prepares amazing dishes using high quality and local ingredients. The menu changes after some time and after being there 10+ times and not a single time being disappointed, I can highly recommend it!!

Fantastic eating experience. The food was all delicous! The bathrooms were clean, wine was good. Good prices. They also brought bread with every meal which was absolutely fantastic.

All the sides were great

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Bistrot Dumas in Champel, Geneva. Old fashioned tasty food in sauce is served here. Might not be so healthy but it is damn good. Give the frog legs a try!

Fantastic experience at Bistro Dumas. Was there on a Saturday night. We were the first ones there when we arrived at 7.30pm. Patrons generally started coming in after 8pm. Ordered the asparagus (picture shows half a portion), entre-cote and a lemon tartlet for dessert. Asparagus was cooked to perfection, Beef was tender and accompanied well with the sauce. The Citron tartlet was the most refreshing pastry I had experienced in a while. Not too sweet as a dessert, the biscuit was good to the crunch, and the lemon jelly helped to clear the palate. I didn’t ask whether they had English menus.

I was looking forward to a dinner in such a high-ranked nice place, and was totally shocked by how poorly we were treated. Theoretically, the Dumas Bistrot is pet-friendly. I brought my well-behaved tiny (3kg) dog inside a brand new clean bag. I put the dog in the carrier bag on a chair next to me.

Suddenly, a waiter rushed over, waving his finger and shouting at me to put the bag with my small dog on the floor. No explanation, no apology—just plain rudeness.

Had the request been communicated politely, I would have understood. But the way it was handled was completely unacceptable.

This place is unwelcoming to animals and to paying customers. Of course, we left. I’m not giving a single cent to a business that treats clients with such disrespect.
