Bistro du Jour is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a nice breakfast. The environment is stylish and inviting, perfect for a calm morning. I had a croissant and coffee, and both were fresh, buttery, and very enjoyable. Its location near the DC waterfront adds to the experience, making it a great stop before or after a walk by the water. A lovely spot for pastries, coffee, and a cozy atmosphere—I’d definitely go back. ☕

Visited here for a late lunch but appears the breakfast is the highlight. I had the salmon which was well done however, amply lacked flavour except some salt and lime. Would only recommend their sweets and pastries. We enjoyed the creme brulee.

The service was great, Dave was very informative & recommended the salmon for lunch- it was yummy! The cheeseburger was reportedly the best he has had & that’s quite the compliment. We also had the creme brulee & Pistachio tart- they were ok. The ambiance was great!!

Wow, just wow!!!! Everything was fantastic from beginning to end!

We were promptly greeted by the lovely hostess who offered us to sit indoor or outdoors, our 9 year old chose inside. We quietly mentioned we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and our server Luke went above and beyond. His work ethic is the definition of hospitality and what it means to be in this industry.

But the experience didn’t stop there! Everything from drinks, to app, to main course was brought out swiftly and promptly while placing the meals down on the table with grace.

For drinks – I ordered a fruit punch like cocktail with vodka, ginger, lemon and I believe a rhubarb bitter syrup. My husband order the French 75, classic and delicious! Our daughter had a hot chocolate but the temperature was kid friendly – much appreciated!

Appetizer, garlic bread. Sounds basic but their garlic butter herb took basic to YUM. Bread apps can be fun appetizers, you just gotta make it right.

Dinner, my husband ordered the steak frites, Medium & cooked to perfection! However, my Coq Au Vin?! Exquisite. Beautifully crafted & executed. The chicken was so tender, it fell right off of the bones. Just the perfect amount was served, but the big back in me wanted MORE! It was that good!!! Best I’ve ever had. Our daughter order your classic kids burger and she was impressed!

Dessert – I’m on the hunt of a good crème brûlée & this was one of the best!!!! A birthday Icecream for baby girl & Luke brought out a croissant on the house for her.

The decor and the ambiance, just perfection.

You guys – THIS IS HOSPITALITY! Great job. Hats off the Chef, line cooks, our server & everyone who made this experience that much better. Enjoy the photos.

We had a delightful breakfast here at Du Jour! The omelette ratatouille was divine as were the lattes, waffles, croissants, plat American and the pastries! This place was amazing! Geraldine, our server was courteous, pleasant and professional! There is indoor and outdoor space, we prefer the outside. The decor inside is magnificent— the floor inside is refine and reminiscent of fine art. The one thing that bothered me was the smell of pee in the bathroom, I hated that! And the bathroom is a bit too dark for my taste. Besides this the overall experience was great!

Had a wonderful dinner here. It’s a cozy Parisian Bistro in the middle of DC. The salmon was done perfectly. Nice selections of appetizers as well. Along with beautiful presentation.

Outdoor seating is a must! This place is beautiful inside and out. Food options are plenty! We tried the omelette and the American breakfast. You absolutely must try the fingerling potatoes! The best I’ve ever had!! We ended our meal with the caviar deviled egg and the chicken liver mousse raspberry macaron!! Your mouth won’t know what hit it!! To take home, we bought cookies and croissants. The espresso is amazing! Not cheap coffee. I’ll be back for the escargot.

A charming French bistro right on the waterfront with stunning views of the water and boats from the windows. The atmosphere feels like a little piece of France, cozy and authentic. The menu has a great mix of classic dishes – I especially enjoyed the flavorful burger and the rich onion soup. The escargots à la bourguignonne were served in a way I found a bit questionable, but it didn’t take away from the overall great experience. Definitely worth a visit if you want good food and a true French vibe with beautiful scenery.

The receptionist was not in a good mood and hospitality was not to the standard
We ordered onion soup which was delicious.
Also we ordered “Nicouas salad” wasn’t nice, it has tuna on the top that taste bad.
I rate our experience in this restaurant as Fair.
