This place is what the heart of diners are made of. The food is great, comes out fast, and the portions are large. The staff is friendly and the owners make an effort so you feel welcome. The place is clean and convenient. Definitely one of my favorite stops.

I love the food and the service, and something that impressed me was that I went on my birthday and they gave me a slice of cake

What’s not good to share?

First off- I used to go to park city diner, but lately their service has just been awful. Good service is really hard to find!

Here however, you will get that amazing service! We are now regulars and come in on weekend breakfast. We bring our service dog and are always greeted with smiled and conversations that are truly heart warming. They ask how I’m feeling and how I have been since my surgery.

Let’s talk about that! I had surgery on my stomach a few months ago. I was put on a liquid only diet. I love their French onion soup and they strained ALL of the onions out of it so I had something to eat. They took the time to personally strain all the onions out for me! I also love ice coffee, and they don’t have it there. But they have always made it in the back for me (mixing, placing over ice, adding the milk and flavor in) and that’s not something on the menu.

If you want to eat at a place that is not only delicious, reasonably priced and the personal family feel touch. Please please come here with your families!

I normally write bad service reviews, but there is absolutely nothing bad at all with this restaurant.

Our senior trip landed us at this awesome diner. Carl and Tina were efficient delivering our food and clearing the table. Carl actually joined us for a bit.
Conversation was lively and many laughs abounded. Food was great…but the dessert was beyond tasty. Thanks for taking such good care of us. Loved the owner too!!

Went here with my fiance and our family for a quick dinner. Food was okay, nothing special. However, Sydney the waitress was spectacular. Attentive, joyful, delivered our order in a timely manner and was very professional throughout our visit. Would recommend this place more so for breakfast than dinner and to recommend Sydney for your server!

Cute little independent diner with proper traditional diner food. A nice clean, handicap accessible restaurant with a very friendly staff. While dining here, a bus full of senior citizens showed up. My family and I were really impressed with how the complete staff took the time to make all of them feel comfortable in this establishment. The food is decent diner food with average diner prices. The only downside is they do not have diner hours. They operate during the normal hours of any other restaurant. We were very pleased with our traditional diner fare.

Our tour bus stopped here for dinner. (They knew we we coming) they were ready for 51 people and had us seated and eating very quickly. We had a buffet to chose from which was good. And the desserts were AWESOME! Wait staff was pleasant and quick to refill drinks and ask what was needed. An overall wonderful dining experience!

Update 2025: we returned to Lancaster and made it a point to come here for breakfast given our previous experience. As expected, everything that is written below is still true one year later. During our stay in the area, we will be making this hard go-to breakfast restaurant.

2024:Stopped here for breakfast, and it was a very worthwhile stop!
Let’s start with the meal. We ordered the special, which consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and coffee.
The dish was served hot and neat, not sloppy like one gets at the breakfast chain brands.
The bacon was cooked as requested and the sourdough toast that was still hot enough to melt the butter.
Next, cleanliness. Spotless. The tables are bussed and cleaned immediately after guests depart.
Service- The owner is on premises and oversees the operation in person. The staff is welcoming and inviting. As mentioned earlier, the food was served hot out of the kitchen, speaking to the wait staff’s attentiveness. Great value at reasonable prices.

Don’t forget to check out the dessert case.

The Centerville Diner is highly recommended by this reviewer.
