The coffee sign caught my eye on a cool rainy day. I am VERY THANKFUL that it did.
Dusty was so chipper and friendly with a wonderful warm and contagious smile. Hands down best customer service EVER! The food was the best I’ve had in a long time. 100% recommend!

I was very disappointed in the service I received this morning around 7:30 a.m. The female cashier was extremely distant and not pleasant at all. She seemed annoyed, and that kind of attitude first thing in the morning is very discouraging as a customer.
The prices of the food are quite high (6.78 for a pastry), so I would expect the level of service to match the price point. When customers are paying premium prices, basic friendliness and professionalism should come with it.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as good service makes a big difference in the overall experience.

Birmingham Breadworks is a delightful bakery and café that has quickly become a favorite spot in the city. The bread is exceptional, with perfectly crusty sourdough, soft, flavorful baguettes, and hearty loaves that clearly reflect the care and craftsmanship behind each batch. Their pastries are equally impressive — flaky croissants, cinnamon rolls, and danishes that strike the perfect balance of sweetness and texture.

Tried this place for the first time. Ham and cheese croissant was HUGE. It was also super flaky and fluffy. Delicious. The chain latte was good as well. Can’t wait to go back and try other things.

Delicious bread, tasty sandwiches and really nice staff. We stopped by here as I was dropping off my husband on the airport, but we had an hour to grab a quick lunch. The food was great, and the bread of course was excellent. The place had a cool and chill atmosphere, I think I’ll come back more often in the future, especially if I’m just driving to Birmingham for an airport run!

Advertising breakfast until 2pm yet the kitchen is closed at 10:45 on a Saturday to “prepare for lunch”. We couldn’t even get toast. Quite possibly the poorest service I’ve experienced in Birmingham in recent memory. Despite not needing to cook or prepare a thing, it still took over 15 minutes to get the cold danishes. Add to that, the tables were filthy and they didn’t offer a plate of any kind. I can’t find any reason to come back. Congrats on being hip while your core job (serving food) fails miserably. At least it seems like some love was put into the actual prep and they use quality ingredients.

Very neat place with decent prices, sufficient seating, and a little wait. They were out of the salmon for the smoked salmon toast, unfortunately. All the pastries looked so delicious, and everyone at the office loved the sticky buns for our sweets social. Will return and update review another time.
UPDATE: smoked salmon toast was available this morning, and it was literally what I was craving today. It was DELICIOUS!! Two yummy slices of BB bread and cream cheese together and the Nutella danish and cheese Danish with fruit were excellent. I’ll be back!

This is a just about every Saturday morning stop for me, since 2016. Went in this morning and saw the goods turned around and left. The quality of the baked goods has been so variable. This morning was not good. Hopefully next Saturday is better.
