Quick stop off the highway… glad we did! We had the pulled pork bbq with baked beans and hush puppies… with an extra order of hush puppies. The pork was melt in your mouth good. Beans were excellent and the hush puppies were amazing… they were huge. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfectly done! We did not order ahead and expected a wait but our food came out very quickly. Will definitely stop again on our way through.

I finally stopped by for a meal after passing by so many times. The BBQ Plate with my two sides, onion rings and Mac & cheese was delicious. I will definitely return and try other items on the menu. I couldn’t eat it all and saved the rest for later.

Sorry , but I can not give this stand more than two stars, and that’s pushing it. The limas were tasteless , the hush puppies were actually raw in the middle. The shredded chicken , not barbecue chicken, was swimming in a barbecue sauce that was not very tasty . You eat at outside picnic tables , which I don’t mind, but the flies were really bad. I think that they ate more of my food , than I did.

Decent price, good size. Be prepared for no indoor seating. They have covered picnic tables with a wind breaker on one end. It was decent weather when I ate there today. Unique for sure. Would go again.

Nice stop during my bike from the Tri-cities, VA to Stony Creek. Great service and tasty breakfast in my case! If you’re on Route 1 going south, it is must stop for motorist and cyclist!

Lovely food, very small town bbq joint type atmosphere. Everything was prepared fresh and tasted great, especially the chicken and cherry milkshake. We also had a massive order (over $100) and everything still turned out great! Five stars for sure, if you are in the area looking for local bbq or stopping off the highway, check this place out!

Glad we stopped and at the same time probably not the best time… the food is tasty, but they are not quick… we ordered two plates, one fried catfish and one white chicken plate… it took 34 minutes to get our food (we were waiting in the car, the clock was staring at me). The place wasn’t crazy busy (4 people including us for the 40 total minutes we were there) or anything, just, they’re doing it all old school and without much pep. Now, that being said, the meats were SUPER freshly cooked (I know frying a chicken breast takes time), the chicken and fish crispy and HOT! The sides of mac&cheese, not so much. But everything was very tasty. Just make sure you go when you are in NO hurry. Had I noticed this fact in the reviews, I probably would’ve come on a different, warmer day we didn’t still have quite a drive ahead of us. Worth the stop indeed, and we will come again.

I stopped here every time I drive south or north on 95. It is off the side of the interstate and hard to see if you do not know it is there but it is some of the best Southern BBQ and side orders I have ever had. It is well worth the 2-minute side trip from the interstate. I highly recommend the pulled pork and the fried catfish sandwich.
