I want to start this by saying we all know how absolutely crazy the holiday rush can be for a place serving prepared take home food boxes. With that being said, we have been ordering these boxes for years and this may be the last. First complaint is the wait time. Waiting in line for pickup for almost an hour is crazy. Second and most important is the food. The turkey was extremely undercooked. So much that it was barely eaten. The Mac and cheese that i attached a picture of is straight up disrespectful. How could you look at that burnt to hell, dry mac and cheese and send it out. The last was the spinach casserole. It was disgusting and went in the trash. This was clear that big fish oversold big time, rushed everything out the door, and took the money and ran. By a mile. It’s disappointing because it has been good for so many years but when you have an entire extended family around a table waiting for this food, and then we open it up to this, it’s not okay. There is always room for error obviously, but come on. Highly disappointed. Do better. Sell less and take your time.

I am truly impressed with Big Fish Grill’s Thanksgiving pre-order meals! The pick-up process was incredibly efficient and smooth, a real lifesaver during the holiday rush. Not only were the dishes absolutely delicious, but BFG’s communication about the whole process from ordering to pickup was outstanding. Thank you for making our holiday preparations so much easier and stress-free! We will absolutely be doing this again next year.

So disappointed this time! We have eaten here has a family 3 years in a row, loving the takeout cod bites for the kids. Ordered takeout through the market side this year, even placing the order was difficult. We were not informed that the cod bites were replaced with catfish. There’s a big difference between the two. People should know if they are a repeat customer expecting cod and getting a dark and bloody looking portion of catfish instead. Especially for kids!
Fish was gross, fries were undercooked, cole slaw wasn’t great and they forgot to bag an entire entree and we had to run back. We ended up scrapping the $60 worth of food and ate Grotto pizza leftovers.

We were very happy with our catering platters, the food was delicious! We picked up the platters for a party we were having at our house. The menu choices were awesome. Ordering them over the phone was easy once I was able to reach the catering manager. ( that was a little difficult – her voicemail was full but she called me back when I called the restaurant directly) There were only 2 things a little
off- i had ordered shrimp salad sliders but ended up getting 2 platters of large shrimp salad sandwiches in croissants. We made do and just cut them to make them smaller, they were delicious, and they forgot to pack the peanut sauce for the chicken satay skewers- but when I called and explained that our party had already started and we were further away from Rehoboth in Ocean View, someone graciously said they would bring the peanut sauce to us at our house! I was thrilled to experience that kind of customer service! He arrived and quickly and quietly placed the sauce next to the skewers and was gone as quickly as he came! i didn’t get a chance to thank him personally- but great work! And thank u!. Customer service like that is a rare thing these days, so Big Fish Grill you have made a loyal customer out of me! Thank you for wonderful food and wonderful service!

Portion size was great, turkey was very good. Ham was very dry and really salty Stuffing was was kinda too wet. And string beans were undercooked 3 years ago it was all delicious. We were disappointed, I would rate the meal a 3/5. The workers seemed unhappy to be there, and were much more festive and excited the past 2 years.

We ordered catering delivery from Big Fish for our wedding in Rehoboth Beach. The food arrived on time and all our guests only had positive things to say about the food. We ordered a wide variety from the menu to provide our party with plenty of options, and everyone complimented the food. We had a great experience with Big Fish and would definitely recommend them.

I cook professionally (NYC chef) and came to the area because I assumed the combination of farms and shore would reveal some great local finds. We are testing recipes and nothing like going to were food comes from.
The produce did not disappoint, however the first local fish market we went to was so bad I ended up throwing out pounds of seafood. Then we found Big Fish! Not only does it deserve the tag of best in the area but I’d put it up there with the best fish markets on the entire east coast.

The take away Thanksgiving dinner was very good. The ease at pick up was also very easy. Takes the stress out hosting large parties. Our third year and we’ll do it again.
