Good burger. Great value on Tuesdays if you have kids.
– Big E’s Prime Burger- $16: 7 oz patty ordered medium, but it was medium-well. It was still VERY juicy, though. The bun was a star compliment with full and filling body and yet soft. The toppings were fresh and delicious, but the long and super thin onions tried escaping and other toppings tried following suit. The cheese was melted well and just the right amount.
The value is debatable. I feel like I received what I ordered generally and it was worth it, but compared to other places, it could be a dollar or two less. With the free kids meal on Tuesdays, it made it worth it, though.
– Fries – $2 extra: Basic golden fries, thinner cut. It was a standard serving and warm to the last fry. They were salted almost perfectly (and I am picky) and cooked spot on. They tasted great, too.
– Cheeseburger Kids Meal – $7 (free on Tuesdays with adult entree): Took my son and he got his meal for free with my burger purchase. It was actually fairly big for the normal price and plenty of fries. He thought it was good and filling. It even comes with a drink!
They also have an all you can eat buffet, but only for lunches on weekdays (I asked).
– Service: Service was amazing and everything was accurate (though I think the way I wanted my burger may have been missed). Everything was as quick as you’d expect with a sit down restaurant and they were helpful for sure.
– Atmosphere: Large modern sports bar with lots of screens and various sports playing. Music was at a minimum, but it probably isn’t that way normally. Everything was clean and in tip top shape. They have booths as well as tables with chairs (high standing or standard). There was also a bar.
– Conclusion: I’d recommend it. If you have kids, I’d definitely come on Tuesdays.

Sam was such an amazing server especially with handling my celiac disease. She knew exactly how to handle it and made appropriate accommodations! The pickles were amazing! She offered me some as a substitute side since my allergy prevents me getting fries. The pickles were fantastic as well as the burger!!! Such a good job! We love you Sam!!!!

We had such a great experience at Big E’s Sports Grill in downtown Grand Rapids! Kenzie, our bartender, was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made amazing drinks. Hailey, our waitress, gave us top-notch service and made sure we had everything we needed.
The food was outstanding! The nachos were loaded and had just the right amount of spice, and the chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato fries was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Highly recommend stopping in for great service, great drinks, and great food!

We had a reservation for 9 of us at 630. No problems with that as it was pretty dead. After 20 minutes of not a single person checking on us I talked to the hostess again. Another 15 minutes and a guy came over and said “you’re not my table but I’ll help you in 2 seconds.” 10 minutes later he came over, took our order for drinks and food bc we were obviously ready at this point. It took another 10 minutes to get WATER… no check ins, no ownership by anyone even what looked to be a manager roaming around – he had pink fingernail polish. One dish of 9 came out so we thought things were coming but it was another 8 minutes before anything else came. The food was okay but the Mac n cheese was cold – cold noodles is gross even the “hot plate” it was on was cold… I didn’t say anything bc I couldn’t deal with the crappy service any longer. Top it all off with an automatic 20% gratuity on the bill… this whole experience was garbage and we couldn’t even tip appropriately. Zero employees cared or acknowledged it. I would not recommend anyone to go here.

Great set up with TVs for all sports going on for the day. Staff friendly and helpful.
Got the mushroom, swiss burger and onion rings. Good burger, didn’t need any added condiments. Upcharge for the rings and I got 4 onion rings that were pretty soggy. Almost a $1 a ring! Not impressed! Could have been another star

To say that it’s an expansive wide open layout would be to discount the fact that your sight lines stretch in every direction to multiple large screen, high definition televisions. Done upright with a layout that is warm, comfortable, wide, open, airy and welcoming. They spent a little bit of dough to make things right. I have the Salmon caesar. A little light on the dressing but they made up for it with the seasoning on the salmon I have to give them credit… They were just looking out for my waistline with the light dabbling of Caesar dressing… It was a big group with 11 people. Food came on out on time. Food came accurately and our waitress “Summer” got harassed by our group because it was the coldest day in Grand Rapids in the last 5 years and she was sporting her name badge. She was a great sport. She took control of the group split all of our tabs 11 different ways and everybody left pleased.

This place never seems to be busy enough. I can’t talk highly enough about this place. Not only is the place HUGE but there’s TVs everywhere you look with sports on! The waiters are outstanding. Some of the best customer service around. Then we get to the food, and that’s OUTSTANDING!! This is my new go-to place for food downtown.
