Nice local joint with a down home feel. The employees were friendly, helpful, and available to answer questions about the eclectic menu.
The food was made to order and came to us at a great temperature. The fries (we tried all three: regular, garlic, and sweet potato) were hot and crispy. The burgers were also great.
The Monte Cristo was a little more greasy than I would have liked, but delicious nonetheless.
Parking is terrible. They know it. They even have shirts we saw one employee wearing that said, “Great food! Sh!tty parking!” That about sums it up.

Big Ds has great service, is very reasonably priced and the food is amazing! The portion sizes are good. A single fry is enough to feed two people. The garlic fries are no joke! Definitely worth checking out.

Such wonderful hospitality from the staff immediately upon entry! The Monster fries were sinfully delicious and the Magic Mushroom Burger was perfection! The garlic aoli really completed my whole flavor journey. They also had free cucumber water that was so refreshing and perfect for washing down all the tasty rich flavors! A must eat for Roswell visitors!

Wow. We were visiting on the way to Tucson (also to check out this adorable kitschy town) and had to decide between this spot and another prominent burger place for a quick lunch. I sure am happy with our choice to eat at Big D’s. It’s rare in this day and age to get quality service, and I didn’t expect much from this diner, but it ended up being one of our favorite aspects of the experience. The kitchen and counter teams worked together, communicating loud enough to hear, about making sure orders made it out, that everyone was satisfied, and even told each other “good job” frequently. Our burger was supposed to be cut down the middle to share, which they forgot to do, but after just a couple minutes someone was double-checking tickets and found the error, walked to our table and offered to remedy the situation. Super hands-on and quality. Also, when someone sneezed a cacophony of “bless you’s” rang out. Onto the food— we ordered the bbq burger and garlic fries. The flavors were perfect and even the patty by itself was delicious. The sauce they paired the fries with was excellent. I found not a single thing wrong with our meal. I also liked their water jug with cucumber and lemons and ice bucket to be nice. The ice bucket was replenished during our short visit.
All in all, this is a must-visit if you’re in Roswell.

One of the most delicious Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever tasted! Well worth the 25 minute wait we endured. Hamburgers were very tasty too and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think they double fry them to get them like that.

Pretty delicious food here I got the Philly cheesesteak and thanksgiving fries. As a Philly boy I am a pretty harsh critic of out-of-town cheesesteaks, but this one exceeded my expectations. The fries were ridiculously good, covered in bacon and if I recall a maple whisky glaze. Heart attack waiting to happen, but well worth it.
Overall I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting. The place was clean, had friendly service, and a nice casual atmosphere.

Googled best restaurant in Roswell and Big D’s popped up! We were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and appealing to the eye, and the counter service staff was quick and friendly. The food arrived and was beautiful to the eye and to the taste. And the restrooms were clean! And the music was great too! Great find!

Not impressed at all. Pretty disappointing really. Got there and no kid menu. So we ordered chicken tenders (3 for $11) but they were out. It was fast food service with dine in restaurant prices. The water was “infused” and barely drinkable. Ice was just out in a bucket on the counter near the water. Tea was not good but we are from Texas so maybe we are spoiled. Cleanliness was not that great. I wouldn’t recommend but maybe we got there on a bad day. I do know that the people eating next to us were very unhappy with what they ordered as well. My burger was decent but not worth $13. Garlic fries were decent. Monte Cristo was good.

A little bit of a wait due to the small size of the place, but well worth it. I had the cheesesteak, and it was outstanding. The rest of the family enjoyed their burgers and garlic fries…enjoy!
