Great food, nice portions, and flavor. We have been coming here every two months for a while now. The service is ok, sometimes better than other days.
The only thing that bothered me every time was the smell of this place. I have to say: I like the barbecue smell, but I hate it when it lingers on my clothes and especially my hair.
They really should have a better way to disseminate the smell inside the place, so you can’t smell like you smoke.

Do not waste your money coming here. Go over to
Stamey’s BBq or Country BBQ. We order the copped BBQ with slaw, texas sausage with fries, a basket of hushpuppies and a sweet tea. The only edible part of the meal was the sweet tea. The hushpuppies were so burnt that we could not bite into them. The hand cut fries were undercooked and old(sat in the bowl in the window to long). the Texas sausage was over cooked that I had cut the ends off just so I could eat the rest, it was overly salty and the slaw was almost nonexistent like a last-minute afterthought thrown on. The chopped bbq was so Salty that my husband stoped eating after 5 bites, tossed it in the trash and made a protein shake. In a world where most can’t afford to go out to eat all the time this was an extremely disappointing waste of $33.

Just passing thru from out of town. The young lady Isabelle took my order was sweet and professional. Ordered the NotSloppyJoe and fries meal. It was very tasty and the fries were fresh and of good quality. For the money I felt I got good value. If I had to pick something that could use improvement was maybe the lemonade. It was a bit on the sour side so opted of a mountain dew as they have Pepsi products which I’m not a fan of but they also have some glass bottle soft drink options I didn’t explore. The atmosphere is laid back and lighting reminiscent of a back yard string bulb lit vibe with some long wooden tables reminding me of those at a nice outdoor event. I love that all the food is made to order in clear view on the customer. Overall I wish they had something like this back home. But better they don’t because I’d pack on the pounds.

Stopped by City BBQ and grabbed the beef brisket sandwich — honestly one of the better ones I’ve had in a long time. The brisket was super tender, juicy, and had that perfect smoky flavor without being overpowered. You could tell it was slow-smoked right. The bark had great seasoning, and the meat pulled apart easily but still had structure (not mushy).
The bun held up well and didn’t get soggy, which is rare with a loaded brisket sandwich. Paired it with a little house sauce and it complimented the meat instead of covering it up. Service was quick and friendly too.
Definitely coming back for this again. If you go here, the brisket sandwich is the move.

Service was great however, I ordered the pick 3 meats and my order came out incorrect. I ordered chicken, ribs and brisket and only got ribs and brisket for KT. Food was not hot. I’m not sure if I’ll come back or not.

The food is always excellent. The brisket is really good and the fries and hush puppies. Veterans are honored with a discount. They have alot of menu items to choose from and they have never left food out of my orders to go. I also recommend the desserts they have available.

I love City BBQ. I live in Reidsville but drive thru Greensboro on my way home because the food is delicious. I love the different options and loos forward to the new items as well”surprise guests” for a limited time. Great job!!!

This one of the best BBQ places in Greensboro, NC. They have a variety of things to choose from on the menu. From shareables, salads, and sandwiches. They have the best smoked meats (smoked in-house daily) and some of the best side’s you can think of. Even the desserts are a hit. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area.

Staff is polite, the ribs were definitely good, but the portion size is very small for the price. The apple cobbler was excellent, love that the apples were fresh. Fries are good, but the way they wrap them down, makes them soggy by the time you get to them if you’re not eating right away. Hush puppies were hard and too over cooked and not fully round. Got about 3-4 halfmoons in my order. Still would go back and try the chicken and get more ribs. Potential is here…. Thank you for the meal.
