My son and I stopped in at Big Chicken in downtown Chattanooga, and it was an easy win from the moment we walked through the door. The restaurant has that clean, modern, upbeat atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer than you planned. It feels fun without being loud, and comfortable without trying too hard.
The food was genuinely great — fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted like it was made with care, not rushed or thrown together. It’s the kind of meal you finish and immediately think, yeah, I’d get that again.
The staff was amazing. Friendly, patient, and on top of everything. They treated us like we mattered, not like we were just another order in line. That alone makes a difference, especially when you’re out with your kid and want the experience to feel easy.
Overall, Big Chicken delivered on every level — food, atmosphere, and service. We’ll definitely be back.

Took a chance on this place in downtown Chattanooga and I was very pleased. The chicken fingers and fries were very good! Their house sauce is very tasty! I ordered an elote that was off the cob and in a bowl with lots of seasoning-honestly, that wasn’t my favorite but everything was good and not terribly expensive. Highly recommend!

Quiet environment with friendly service and great portions. We ordered a little much, assuming it would skimp like most other places; however, the food did not disappoint! They have a wide menu to choose from. If there’s anything I would critique, it would be having a more flavorful signature sauce. Aside from that, though, my visit here was great!

It really hurts me to give 5 stars. I almost never do. There was really nothing to bring it down. The chicken was excellent. I normally don’t order the “specialty” offerings but this one seemed most economical. I had the Shaq sandwich. It had the jalapeno slaw which was very good. The crispy crinkle fries were, in fact, crispy. Good portion of fries. The only possible negative point was the tip recommendations. They were 15, 18 and 22 percent. I scoffed but left the 15. I am not going to the counter order, pick up my food and bus my own table and still tip 22%. They should offer 10, 12 and 15. That is more realistic for the type of service.

This was our first time at Big Chicken, since we were visiting the area. It’s a little pricey, but the food was really good. Friendly staff, good service. Food came out hot. There is sauce bar with several choices. It was our favorite restaurant from our weekend trip. Very good .

An amazing place to eat at! Although it doesn’t have the spicy sauces like Dave’s hot chicken, it still blows Dave’s out of the park! Shaquille O’Neil knows what he’s doing!!! 5 stars! MILKSHAKES ARE THE BEST THO!

I stopped by and ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with BC fries. The sandwich was oh so fresh, hot, and delicious . One of the best sandwiches I have tasted on the road. The staff was friendly and the establishment was very clean. It’s downtown so to get here you may have to pay for parking if it’s a busy day($7.45).

I was in town for Con Nooga over the weekend. I was recommended this place by someone at the event. I went in Friday night, and received the worst customer service. Walked in, no one greeted me, stood at the front for a few minutes without being even acknowledged before finally getting someones attention (girl with tattoos and piercing, black shirt, no name tag), still not really welcoming. I ordered the Hot Honey Shaq Snack and a milkshake. My food was brought out and bagged by the guy in the kitchen while my milkshake was being made (long red hair, black shirt, again no name tag). He acted rude and unfriendly as he handed me my order before going back into the back. The only person who even was friendly was the Hispanic girl (maroon colored shirt I think) who came out to the front briefly to do something that actually looked at me and said hi. After getting my milkshake, I left since I felt I wasn’t welcomed by two of the staff members (guess that is why they weren’t wearing name tags to begin with).
As for the food, when I got back to my hotel close by, I unwrapped my sandwich. For a place called BIG Chicken, my order had two bite size pieces of chicken that were about the size of small chicken nuggets and FOUR marble sized cheese curds and it looked like it was just thrown on the bread as it didn’t even look presentable. They didn’t even cover half of one of the sides of the bread, no where near the stuffed looking sandwich shown on the menu. I barely even tasted the Hot Honey. For a sandwich that cost almost $10, this felt like a complete rip off as it was mainly just the bread. I am shocked that Shaq would even put his name on this. Never coming back after this experience.

Stopped by while visiting Chattanooga on a Saturday night. Restaurant was clean and not too busy. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Smaller menu but the food was executed really well.
My kids had the tenders meals with crinkle cut fries. I had a grilled Nashville hot sandwich and my husband had a fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken filet is huge, the grilled one, not so much. I also ordered the jalapeño slaw and it looked so good. It ended up being bland so I added 3 salt and pepper packets to it.
My favorite sauce was the hot bbq. They also had happy hour for beer so my husband had 2 modelos.
All in all, I would come again. The food was about $50 total for 2 kids and 2 adults.
The milkshakes looked tasty but we didn’t try any.
