This place has a very good pizza (regular style or NY, can’t tell the difference) as well as some Detroit style. They have a solid rotation of regional beers. The place is nice to hangout at, whether inside or outside with some tvs playing sports. Staff is friendly. The only downsides in my experience is their club sandwich, as I found it to be very flavorless; and sometimes it takes several minutes to receive your order.

I’ve been to the other locations, and knew it was time to try out this one! The food was of course incredible, and the vibe was amazing. There was great music playing all night, which made the environment perfect. Can’t wait to come back all fall for football season.

THIS IS THE BEST BEST PIZZA AND BREW! Not only is the pizza so fresh, the service is incredibly fast. Barely sat down and food was already coming to us. Every single person had a smile and joyful spirits. Then we got the pleasure of meeting DC. He gave us great service, checked in multiple times and now gave us all a reason to come back! Can’t wait to return not only for the pizza but for our new friend DC! Thank YOUU best location ever

It’s a brand new build. Has the highest quality beer in Clairemont proper.
Pizza is amazing ( I love the bbq chicken).
Happy hour is from 2-4 so get here early for that special.
Wednesday is pint night, a lot of time it is brewery sponsored, and not just the old kegs to get rid of. Today is modern times Ft 2 differently free glasses.
Connor Ash and Duayne are amazing keeping the bar happy.
All the pizza I have tired has been amazing quality and comes out with a nice crisp crust.
Don’t believe any of the negative reviews for this place. It’s the best addition to this area on 20 years.
They have alcohol and liquor available, but is still super family friendly.
Food to go, you can order on the app to save time!

Amazing food, great atmosphere, awesome happy hour! Went with my family and we got cocktails, apps, and shared some great pizza. The “Best White Pizza” and “Buffalo Chicken Pizza” were my favorites. We spent less than $100 for dinner (with leftovers) and cocktails for a family of 6. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked on us regularly.

Our 10U baseball team had a holiday party here and the staff was great and accomodated our group of 40. The food was the usual delicious Best Pizza pizza and salads. We reserved the outdoor patio and it was perfect for what we needed. We ordered some food ahead of time and ordered a bunch when we arrived. Everything came out pretty promptly considering the size of our group. Plenty of parking. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because it took 3 or 4 calls to actually reserve the patio. I spoke to someone every time but was always told someone would call me back and they never did. It worked out but it would have been nice to get a call back the 1st time. We’ll definitely be back!

I came in to order a pizza to go, the staff was friendly. I was told it would take 20 minutes, when I inquired about my order because I saw a pizza I thought might be mine, the young lady was checking and the guy shouted its not yours. I finally got my pizza 35 minutes after I ordered it. When I got home, I checked my credit card account and it shows a double charge. I now have to wait until the charge processes to see if that is the case. The girl who was helping me brought me a receipt that I believe is a credit for my pizza, but again I have to wait until it all processes.
I have never had this happen and I’m extremely disappointed, especially since I have worked in customer service for 40 years.

By far one of the friendliest staff I’ve encountered in years. It’s quite refreshing in today’s present environment where traditional excellent service is rare. I’ve always enjoyed Best Pizza’s consistently delicious food and beer (at their many other locations). This newer location is my favourite because the staff is always super friendly, courteous, especially the owner (GM) who seems to be there daily assuring quality service and food is consistently delivered. A wealth of stellar beers on tap to select from, and they are always fresh and (perfect) cold – obviously they know how to invest in high quality brewing system to deliver this as many places I frequent lately unfortunately have stale and sub par temperatured brews. Other than their (fantastic) pizzas, the salads, sandwiches, pastas are superb and often I’ll need to take home my meal because of the generous portions. Prices are very reasonable especially for what you get – terrific food, nice comfortable atmosphere, delightful staff and 1st Class service. Daily Happy hour specials are a no brainer, “Best Pizza = Best Deals”. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

I recently visited Best Pizza and Brew at Genesee Ave & Derek in Clairemont with a group of eight, and it was an absolute delight! The staff was incredibly polite and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. They handled our large party with ease, ensuring everyone was comfortable and served promptly. The pizzas were tasty with flavor, crispy crusts, fresh toppings, and generous portions. Paired with their excellent selection of craft beers on tap (Hazy IPA for me). Highly recommend for casual outings or family gatherings. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful new pizza joint in Clairemont!
Newly opened – great atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the staff is super attentive and so nice! I was really struck by how friendly all of the employees are.
Some reviews have mentioned long wait times, and that was likely due to them coming in during opening weekend. I’ve been here twice now, once on opening weekend and once for a weekday happy hour. Both times I had amazing experiences.
Pizza is very good, beer is also awesome. Lots of choices on tap! Seating is very comfortable, tons of natural light during the daytime.
