I was excited, service was good, however the food was unseasoned! They put ketchup and regular salt in the bag. The burgers have no seasoning only condiments you choose to add. These fries need seasoning salt not regular salt. We are out of town and hungry so we ate enough of it not to be hu gry, but we will not be back. The sweet tea and lemonade were good. They only have one size drink though.

Solid restaurant that kind of reminds me of cookout or Five Guys. I had the cheeseburger combo with an orangeade. Burger was good, put together a little weird so the bun was halfway off and stuck due to the melted cheese but the taste was on point. The fries were good and you get a ton! Just a bit more salt would have made them so much better. The orangeade I wasn’t a fan of at all, kinda tasted like diluted orange juice. I wanted to get the lemonade but I hadn’t had orangeade before so I gave it a shot. The staff was pretty friendly and it seemed to be good traffic coming in for a Thursday evening. The wait time wasn’t too bad I took a trip next door to the cigar place to kill some time and when I came back it was ready. Definitely a good stop and I passed the Burger King out front to try something local and they didn’t let me down.

Was surprised the billboards were right… the burgers were legit awesome. But the fries were fantastic! Also, their tea was great.
We didn’t have to wait long to be seated, food came out quickly, prices were very reasonable.

Best french fries ive had in a while and best fries in the area thats a fact. Burger was good. Definitely one of the best burgers in the area as well. Lady told me id be 8 minutes but it felt like 30 seconds. Hardly waited and got very hot and very fresh food. 5 stars easy. Took it to go. Ill be returning.

We came in during our road trip. Didn’t have too high expectations but it end up to be a good experience.

This was like a 5 Guys meets Freddy’s and had a baby. Smash burgers were great, cheese was super melty and gooey, fries were very nice (wish they had seasoned fries, too). Staff was super friendly and attentive. 10/10 would recommend. Wish we had one closer to where we live!

Perfect lunch-burger and fries. If you read my reviews you know I eat a lot of burgers and this is a good one. I got the double, it was cheesy and juicy and it came out quickly. Choose all your own toppings at will. Big hand cut fries and YOU CAN SELECT THE COOK OF YOUR FRIES, if you’re heading down 95 and you want something to eat around Wilson, skip all of the chains and pop into Best-N-Burgers. It’s tucked in behind the Wawa.

You found Gold, if you’re here in Wilson, NC. By the looks of it on Google maps, you may decide to pass. However, know that you most likely just missed a hidden gem! Walk in and sit down, waitress comes over grabs your order, and you’ll have your order in front of you within minutes. Simplistic menu, consisting of smash burgers, Hot-Dog and not so salted fresh cut thick fries, and make sure to order the “orangeade”. They even have some dippin-dots after you scarf down your food. Really great food, friendly staff, fast service with a smile. Definitely worth the stop if you find yourself driving through the area, very affordable.

I had read several reviews about this place in told the wife about it. We decided to make it a supper outing with the kids.
The place is popular. We walked in to see a lineup of take out/to go customers and a large compliment of dine-in customers filling the main eating area. Dining in, you seat yourself and they will find you.
There’s three eating areas. The main one which was filled. A secondary one inside which is sort of tucked away and another outside with patio tables. We opted for the outside patio tables after trying the secondary inside area. That inside location was just too humid. Maybe the ac was broken in that area. Outside worked just fine.
The reviews for this place were spot on. The proof was in the empty we left behind. The burger were great and the fries we prepared to a perfect crisp.
The burgers gave me the old 50s vibe and deliciousness you can only find an old school diner – but without the grease!
Well work the trip.
UPDATE: We’ve made several trips back and I must confess the burgers and fries are still as tasty as the first time!
