When I arrived at Berto’s, it was busy—and in my experience, that’s always a telltale sign of great food. The wings were the real standout. If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s soggy wings, and Berto’s did not disappoint. They were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor—so much so that blue cheese or ranch wasn’t even necessary. I didn’t even have to ask for them extra crispy; they were spot-on as is.
I also ordered the Rodeo Burger with fries and onion rings. The burger was cooked to juicy perfection with just the right kick of flavor I was hoping for. The fries came out hot and lightly seasoned—no condiments needed. As for the onion rings, they were fried just right, with a crisp, golden batter and no soggy or undercooked coating between the robust onion and the crunch. I even had a piece of their fried chicken (breast). It was sooo juicy and flavorful and the crust was so light and crispy without being greasy.
This place is officially my new go-to on the west end—and make no mistake, it’s worth going out of your way to dine at Berto’s.
Even with how busy it was, the staff kept everything running smoothly. They stayed friendly, smiling, and genuinely pleasant throughout the entire experience and its great value for dollar.

The food is incredible! Everything ive tried so far has been delicious. The environment is so comfortable, it definitely lives up to the “family” part of its name. You feel right at home. The staff is kind and helpful. Its all about keeping the customer happy for them and it works! If you haven’t given this little hidden gem a try yet youre greatly missing out!

I absolutely love this cozy little restaurant. The vibe is so laid back, it’s like having a meal in your own home. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The food is amazing and everything I tried was delicious. The most important part to me though was the cleaniness. Everything sparkled, even the bathrooms. This is my new go to spot!!

I really wanted to like this place. order 4 pieces ask for white meat fried chicken. got 2 wings and 2 thighs. I ask waitress that I did not get all white. Offer to pay more. she bring me out I small brest. now my wife dinner she order the lasagna. the photo on line showed sauce on it and bread stick. she got none just one piece of dry lasagna.

The food was amazing. The meatloaf was super moist and filling. My daughter had the lasagna and she loved it. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Had the feel of being with family. I’ll definitely be going back!

Went for breakfast. Realize this restaurant has only been open for a month so I hope they will get better. The menu is not very good in that it does not list everything they serve (i.e. potatoes not listed for breakfast though we understand they do have them). Ordered the waffle combo which included 2 eggs which I ordered over easy and a meat side. Asked the server what the sides were (not on the menu) and she wasn’t quite sure. Server was obviously not experienced but did the best she could. She probably should have been shadowed by someone experienced. She brought out the order with one of the eggs broken and a waffle that was terribly undercooked. Sent that back. Another server brought out the next one. Still undercooked. By that time my eggs and sausages were cold. They did take the cost of the waffle off the ticket. 2 things there. The cook was not very good and the server should not have brought it out. During our whole time there the owner just sat around not doing anything. A bad look. I hope they learn from these reviews and get better. Will try again another time and hope there is improvement. Always hope a new business makes it.

This was the old White Horse Diner and I loved that place. Hadn’t been in since it changed ownership and became Berto’s. They did a wonderful job with the remodel of the building…bright and cheery, but the register area has no dedicated space making it awkward to pay. We were stunned with how comparatively expensive the menu items were overall and if it weren’t for the “senior special” breakfast (eggs, homefries, toast) they were offering, we’d have up and left. They didn’t have rye bread that I wanted, but offered sourdough for AN UPCHARGE! Eggs were runny and it took forever to get our bill. Afraid that this one is now off the list!
