The Service here is great. Staff is friendly and quick. The only downside is the food. It was a little bland and very oily. Brisket was dry like jerky and didn’t cut with a fork like smoked meat should. The fries were on point and the cornbread is more of a muffin but still good. Their sauces are on point but without them the food has little flavor.

We ate at food & fire for the first time on 10/31. Devon was our server and she was super friendly. All of the food was delicious and the drinks she made us were amazing. We’re going to make it a point to visit the restaurant once or twice a month. We ordered wings (Korean and Buffalo), the Cuban Sandwich and bbq chicken, nachos with pulled pork, corn bread, mac and cheese and potatoes. Loved everything. Service as mentioned was outstanding as were the food and drinks that followed. Great atmosphere!!

This will unfortunately be a one and done for me.

I ordered the BBQ Fan 3 meat platter. I chose brisket, ribs, and pulled pork with a salad and mac and cheese as my sides. First, all of the meat was cold… room temperature at best. The brisket had a ton of fat in the middle making only the outside part of the cut edible. Some parts were tasty other parts were dry. The ribs had decent flavor but they were also mostly dry and of course cold. The pulled pork the most dry of the three meats I tried and also the coldest. The mac and cheese was ok… nothing to write home about but would have been an ok dish to accompany the meal had the meats been warm, not dry, and better quality cuts. The mac and cheese was also served at room temperature like everything else. The salad dressing, ranch, was quite a tasty but the salad, like the meat and mac and cheese, was also room temperature instead of being cold and refrigerated like every other restaurant salad I have ever had. I was also disappointed to find out the side salad was a $2 up charge from the typical sides. This is not clearly conveyed on the menu although there is a little dollar sign next to some of the side options.

The server was very kind, attentive, and was very good about helping to navigate the menu. Five stars to her! Unfortunately the service alone is not worth repeating the trip as more than 1/2 my $25 plate will end up in the trash.

Besides the service, everything was really pretty unfortunate and disappointing all the way around. In reading other reviews it would seem that these are common complaints and I wish I had done a little more research before dining here.

The first thing I want to say is I’d give our service 5 stars. The food is what made it 3 stars. We came here for my wife’s birthday. There were 8 of us, and we wanted to try something new. Paula was our waitress and she was such a good waitress. She was friendly and attentive. Honestly, she was the best part of the dinner. We all ordered alcoholic drinks. They had a bunch of specials that were very good, including the sour cherry mojito and the equilibrium string theory. We ordered 3 appetizers, which were fried pickles, smokehouse loaded tots, and the stuffed jalapeños. I was surprised how very small the portions were for an appetizer, but all tasted very good. The jalapeños smoke bombs are very spicy, by the way. I ordered the 2 meat taster and got ribs and brisket. Most of the table got a variety of the meats that they offer. The 2 burgers that were ordered for the table came out perfect and hot. But all our smoked meats were cold. From the brisket to chicken to ribs and pork, it was slightly warm at best. The ribs, in my opinion, were very well seasoned, and I got them wet, I was very happy with the taste. All of our sides, though, we’re nice and hot. The Mac and cheese is very good, along with the loaded mash potatoes. The deviled potatoe salad seemed that they were barely cooked, though. It’s got a nice big bar in here with tvs and a patio for the summertime where you can play corn hole and hang out. As I started off, we were disappointed with some of the meals not being hot, but our waitress was top-notch. The kitchen is failing this place because the food is actually good. I hope they change around what’s wrong because this could be a great spot

My husband and I decided to try this place since we saw so many ads around the mall about it. I was in the mood for a burger and ordered the bonfire burger. On the table there are a variety of bbq sauces to use but the bottles look and feel a bit flimsy. Nevertheless, I wanted to try one of the sauces and squeezed some on the side of my plate. Nothing came out. I tried again and the cap popped off and there was bbq sauce all over my shirt, food, table, arm etc. Apparently, the top was clogged. I took photos of the other bottles that show that as well. We flagged down a waitress who gave us a bunch of napkins to clean up the mess and took my plate. At this point I had not even touched the burger. The new plate came out pretty quick and the burger was ok. The bun was a lot smaller than the burger with fixings so it was messy. Halfway through my meal I bit into something hard in the burger- it was the top stem of a jalapeño! We told our waitress who made a joke of it saying that’s a the hat. I didn’t think that was funny. So to sum things up I had a terrible experience here. The food and service were lackluster. Our waitress offered to give us a discount because of my experience- turns out the discount was $2.00. How disappointing. At this point, I couldn’t wait to get outta there. I will not be returning.

I’ve visited Food & Fire BBQ-Taphouse several times—shortly after they opened, a few months later, and again quite recently. I held off on my main review to see how they’d evolve: Would they have a strong start and then become complacent, or would they maintain their quality and atmosphere? I’m happy to report that I’m just as impressed today as I was when they first opened. They’ve truly stayed consistent and continued to impress on all fronts, and fire on all cylinders. The food was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I both enjoyed our meals immensely. We loved the atmosphere, and the drink selection was perfect—light wines for her and a great range of beers for me. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and a great fit for the place. I can’t recommend this spot enough. I’m thrilled it’s in our area and wish them long-term success. I’ll definitely be a champion for this place as long as they keep impressing us! A special shout-out to our server, Angie! She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and truly a pleasure to deal with. Kudos to the Food & Fire team for having such a great person on their staff!

Next time I go, I’ll be sure to take some photos for the review.

Was it the best BBQ I’ve had… no. Was it one of the better ones I’ve had in the state of NY, absolutely yes! The highlights for me were the brisket, ribs, baked beans and jalapeño smoked bombs! The atmosphere is casual and not one you episode expect for a bbq joint. It was really dead for a Saturday night though and the people at the bar were a bit loud and obnoxious. The staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. The price point and portions are great. Give this place a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

My first visit to this restaurant. I was surprised to see that I didn’t have to wait long to be seated, especially on a Saturday night. However, as I walked to my table, I noticed that the floor was dangerously slippery, which was a bit concerning.

I ordered a quinoa salad, which was decent and I would rate it a 7 out of 10. The macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes were really good, I would give them a 9 out of 10. However, the half stack of ribs that my daughter ordered was not up to par. They were hard and rubbery, definitely not what we were expecting.

Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed with a lot of tables, so she wasn’t able to come to ours frequently. This resulted in us not having the essentials we needed, like napkins. Additionally, when you order ribs, you usually get those wet towel napkins, but they were not provided to us.

Overall, I was not too impressed due to the safety of the flooring and the lack of necessities, but I would still give the food and everything else a 7 out of 10.

Dine date 11/11/23 Review date 11/12/23. My fiance and I decided to try out Food and Fire (at time of review a brand new restaurant) and it was an OK experience.
Located at once was Allan’s Mediterranean Grill F&F now occupies it. We were seated quickly and they took our drink orders. Eventually they came back and gave us two pieces of cornbread which was a nice surprise, let’s see if they continue to do that after a few months to a year being open as the 110 grill used to serve bread as well.
Now on to our first negative (which unfortunately we didn’t take a picture of) our knives were still dirty and had small crumbs of food stiff left on it.
We ordered our food ( two burgers) and appetizer (bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers).
Both our burgers as well as the jalapeno poppers came out. Burgers looked and tasted delicious and we were pretty pleased with that. The sauces that they have on each table are nice depending on what you want. Personally the sweet mustard goes well with the fries. Other sauces may be too liquidly for some.
Negative number two is the Jalapeno Poppers themselves. They were presented very nice but unfortunately it seems like they were left out to be served with our burgers. While the burgers were juicy and hot the poppers were cold, not spicy and unsatisfying.
We paid for our meal and left. We may return here and try it again. If we do I’ll update the review. For right now it’s sad that it was such a middle of the road experience for a brand new restaurant. Next time maybe we’ll do the ribs and pulled pork but being served the cold appetizer and questionably clean knives may also keep us away.
