Absurd and disrespectful treatment of guests.
I stepped outside the bar with an energy drink that I had just bought there, simply to get some fresh air. No one warned me or explained anything, but someone shouted something after me as I was leaving. When I tried to come back inside, they refused to let me in.
There were no rules mentioned, no signs, no polite conversation — just a silent ban and a cold attitude. It felt humiliating and completely unfair.
Would not recommend. No respect, no hospitality — just a strange place with stranger behavior.
Thank you for your answer! First of all, I want to clarify that your security guard probably has poor eyesight and poor recognition of gestures, because I didn’t show him the middle finger at first! I have no complaints about the bartenders! The girls really served normally. Regarding the signs – where are they there??? I didn’t notice it once! Secondly, I took out a SOFT DRINK FOR WHICH I PAID MONEY! It’s the same as if I had left with a bottle of mineral water! If you have such a law that you can’t take water out of the bar, then it’s stupid! The security guard confused my air kiss gesture with a middle finger gesture! And he shouted at me as if I had taken a million dollars out of your bar, and when I returned to the bar for the second time, the security guard forcibly pushed me out of the bar without explanation, although I asked to explain what was the matter! Explain it to me quietly and calmly! I wasn’t drunk enough not to understand what I was doing! I don’t think and didn’t know before that it’s illegal to bring an energy drink out). So the security guard publicly humiliated me there! This is disrespectful to the customers! And only after that I showed him the middle finger! Because he should have spoken to me differently as a customer and a woman!

Definitely a locals hangout especially for the younger folks working in town and needing to unwind with some loud karaoke. They had 2 Alaskan craft brews on tap for $6 each, which is a dollar less than the town brewery charges. The music was good top 40 pop. It was fun watching everyone. Stays open very late. Worth stopping by. The bartender was making an effort to jazz the place up. She was well dressed, attentive to customers and busy cleaning too. There is a pool table too

I went there to support freinds that wanted to do karaoke. It was great except for the loud dance bar in the back. I sat there for an hour never once asked if I wanted anything, they served my freinds but completely ignored me, I was just getting off work and only wanted a cold soda of sprite!!!!!!! So if you want rudeness and being ignored by all means go there.

People were super friendly, loud diverse music playing. Bartender didn’t 100% know how to run the karaoke setup but she did an awesome job keeping up with customers overall.

It gets so warm due to the lack of circulation in the building. I stay in the back because the front of the bar allows smoking.

The most fun place to dance on Kodiak. The atmosphere can be hit or miss but I think that is more the particular weekend on Kodiak than the bar itself.

Woohoo, havnt been out for awhile and is great place to start. Good gang running the place was 86d for life..lol the tenders are pretty hot for this Podunk town and I will be as soon as I get away from here… Lol
