The best BBQ this side of the Mississippi. Make sure you time your visit correctly. He’s open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and sells out quickly because it’s THAT good. I’d suggest getting there when it opens for the most options. I’ve never arrived at opening time, but I’ve managed to try enough to know it’s delicious. If you’re not picky, arriving later (within 1-2 hours of opening) is okay too. The owner is a super nice guy and greets everyone who visits his BBQ shack like they’re long-lost friends. Highly recommend.

Been here several times and the food is always delicious and consistent. Brisket was well seasoned and super tender. Pork ribs were fall off of the bone. The people that work there are always friendly. Arguably one of the better if not the best BBQ places in the area.

Great joint to pick up really great bbq. Owner was awesome to meet and chat with, really nice guy! Drove an hour based on reviews and didn’t disappoint. Brisket was mild on the smoke and spot on texture! I’ve had others that went for more smoke, but you either got fat or really dry.. this was well balanced and tender, with a nice trim fat layer. Ribs were amazing and turkey is going to be it’s own meal ( we stocked up with a big order.) Coleslaw was really good imo, and beans were great, not over sugared mush. Pie is a must have for later. Thanks for sticking around for our later pick up! We’ll get moseying earlier next time. Went to Cool Creek for a perfect picnic spot.

Now I understand the all five star ratings. I reserve leaving reviews for things that are exceptionally good, or exceptionally bad. I almost didn’t write this review, because they have limited hours, and are only open until they sell out( or 3pm, whichever comes first).., and I wanted to keep the greatness of this secret to myself so when I visit next time they will still have food available. Got the pulled pork and some beef brisket. Many people will not have had the pleasure of eating brisket that was so on point melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Add visiting bins Barbecue Shack to your list of things to do, you will not be disappointed. You can skip the bbq place down the street if bens is open at the time.

This is some of the best barbecue I’ve had since eating at Franklin’s BBQ in Austin Texas or Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY. It’s a destination BBQ joint with limited quanity, and seating. When they are out, they are out. I recommend ordering ahead or getting their 30 minutes before they open. If you’re a foodie looking for next level barbecue this is a good joint to hit. ***Side note: Also they ran out of brisket for my order but just gave me what they had left for free so I could try it. Very sweet people. Very cool thing to do.

Finally tried this place today and it was great. I ordered smoked turkey, pulled pork, and brisket and it was all really good. The turkey has a very peppery seasoning on it which was delicious. The brisket and pulled pork were very flavorful. Definitely order ahead of you can. Ben has a ton of personality too, so it’s worth checking out just for him.

Got there early and Ben came out to chat with me and could not have been nicer. Waited in line as it was my first time there and the food was amazing. Got a 1lb of brisket -melted in my mouth! Got 1 lb of the pulled pork and it was great. Topped it off with a pork belly Sammy. – unreal!! Hands down the best BBQ in Indy! A must if your in the area…

I forgot to take photos because everything was so good! I tried the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, the sides and dessert and all I can say is wow. The ribs are the best I’ve had for sure, and the pulled pork and brisket competes with some of the best I’ve had in Texas or anywhere else for that matter. First time experiencing a buttermilk pie, but I really enjoyed it too. Definitely will be coming back and bringing family too to check it out.

Ben’s BBQ Shack is a must-stop location for some of the best BBQ you’ll find. Ben and his wife are welcoming to all as there are no strangers, just friends yet to be made. We stop here each time we’re in Westfield, but you better order in advance, bc it sells out quickly, and once you have it, you’ll understand why!! Already have our order in for pickup Saturday cause I’m not missing out! PS – the smoked turkey is legit!
