Book a reservation! We walked right past people waiting for seats at 6pm. So glad we booked a reservation. I’m used to hibachi that serves noodles with the rice but this is an added a la carte option. Drinks looked delicious but the kitchen stopped taking drink orders when they were slammed with orders. The waitress was patient in explaining everything that came with each order. I assumed this was an upscale place but it is not. It is similar to a Cheddars or Texas Roadhouse with a different specialty. Very casual and i overdressed. Can get very crowded and smokey when all the grills are running. Sitting at a table full of strangers is normal for hibachi. Plenty of parking in the back and there is valet in the front.

This was my first time there…the food was really good. I had the New York steak and it came with vegetables( zucchini and onions)and a big bowl of fried rice. Our chef kept us entertained while we waited for our food…Cons I would probably say its really loud so we had to pretty much yell what we wanted to the waitress..as expected it does get smokey while they cook the food and it does tend to be a little pricey but we would go there again.

We opted for the bar seating. The grill seating had a 20 minute wait, we didn’t want to sit with other people and the bar seating offered the Astros game, so that was our deciding factors. Jimmy took great care of us. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and the teriyaki steak. Both were delicious and came with soup plus salad. The onion soup was really good. The salad was a basic garden salad with ginger dressing and it was good. The restaurant decor is very Asian inspired. I love the outdoor area with the large bonsai looking trees. Prices are a little bit high especially if you’re not getting the grill experience. They should do a smaller charge for bar service versus grill service. I walked the restaurant after our dinner and captured some pictures to show the other portions of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the evening was good due to our waitstaff service and my dining company.

I was very excited to eat at Benihana for the 1st time ever and left very disappointed. The only reason why I’m leaving 2 stars and not 1 is because my chef was entertaining and drinks were “good” Aside from my chef, the service was poor. Long wait time even though we had a reservation. My waitress wasn’t helpful when I asked for advice in how/what to order. I told her it was my first time there and she just flipped my menu pages until specialties. I found that rude, but I guess she didn’t have time to explain anything.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food presentation from the chef while he cooked the food in front of us. A great place to take a group or a date. Very friendly, quick service. But unfortunately, I wasn’t thrilled with my entree. Maybe it’s what I ordered. But it lacked flavor, and the texture was not well cooked for my pallet. Also, the quantity of food definitely doesn’t come close to what you pay. But the experience overall was great

Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket, place can get cold. Ordered the lobster, scallop, shrimp and it was just okay. Glad I tried but would not order again. The scallops were the standout!

Already have to wait long for them to fill the table. Server barely there, when we still eating she come asked see we want boxes and bring the check out too. But forgot that we got the 5 course meal, don’t even offer hot tea or ice cream that come with the meal. My drink was empty, she didn’t even bother to ask see if I want more drink, but she bring my husband and the other two guests refill for their drinks. After she bring out the check out just left go stand around the computer area wait until she saw us pay with cash than come collected it . Horrible horrible horrible service.

We had a lovely time here. From the hostess, waitress, cook, people who we shared a table with, and of course the food! There were a few dirty dishes but nothing we couldn’t get rid of. The yum yum sauce was runny and lacked flavor. I’d like to come back for another celebration
