The deep dish sausage, onion and green pepper did not disappoint. The fries on the other hand were not too good and a bunch of them were dry and hard. The breaded mushrooms were softer than I would like but the flavor was so good I didn’t mind .

I usually go to the spot on 115th to avoid going to 127th for slices. Today I ordered 2 slices of deep dish sausage and at first the older white lady at the counter looked confused as she look for the pizza. I should have checked while I was there but she gave me 2 slices of deep dish cheese. Idk if it’s new management but I never had a problem before and it only takes 1 time for me not to come back

@beggars It would be nice if you can point out where the sausage is, both slices was cheese there was not a sausage in sight.

Did you guys change your tag line? The one where you lay it on thick because whatever I got wasn’t laid on thick at all. I definitely ordered thin crust but my pizza was light as a feather. It looked like a thin crust Pizza Pizza from Lil Ceasers than the $30 pizza i was expecting and deserved for the money I paid.

December 20, 2024 I’ve been a loyal Beggers Pizza customer for the last six or seven years here at 115 in Kedzie in Marinette Park . Just recently they closed 115th Kedzie And opened on 119th and Kedzie. They said when they open the new store that they did not use the old stove from the old store and they have a new stove so I was hoping that I got just as good of a pizza from them as I did in the past. I went ahead and ordered a medium sausage and cheese pizza from them and I stay in Chicago so I had to Drive quite a distance to get to which I didn’t mind, But when I got home and got relaxed to sit back and watch the football game, I went in the kitchen The pizza box, Lord, behold it was burnt now all the years that I’ve been purchasing pizzas from 115 kids. I never had to check when I got home. The pizzas are always in great condition and great tasted great. I took pictures on my phone of Pizza and save my receipt. I had to throw the pizza out because again it was burnt so when I came back to 119 to see what they would do, they told me that they issue me credit which is OK, but that I have to pay another tax on the pizza that wasn’t the big issue for me, but I would think that they would just make another pizza. The pizza don’t cost for $25. They would rather lose a customer over $25 then to keep a customer happy and coming back. I still have the credit but I’ll never go back to 119th and Kedzie. I feel that I’ve been a disservice all over a burnt pizza. Don’t know why in the first place. They will put something like that in a box and give it to somebody to eat. They wouldn’t eat it. I showed the manager the picture you like oh well I gave you credit that’s the best I can do and you have to pay Double sales tax no sir not me. I wonder if anyone else got the same for And Service ) as I did.

Beggars is a Chicago staple and yes they really do lay it on thick. It’s arguably my favorite pizza on the Southside of Chicago. Can’t go wrong with Chicago-style thin crust or deep dish.

THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS $15 is wayyy too expensive, the trimmings that come on it are extra, THEY ARE UPCHARGING ON INGREDIENTS THAT COME STANDARD ELSEWHERE they charge for the peppers cheese giardinerra , those peppers are standard with Nicky’s or Joeys red Hots. Everyone else charges $8-9. Wayyyy too overpriced.

Well what I disliked was after I hobbled in there on my crutches We were told that dining in service was only pizza slices. What kind of madness is that for dining in to serve pizza slices. Why wouldn’t you serve whole pizzas to someone dining in? So My birthday friend and I both were disabled and we were stunned when we couldn’t get anything but a pizza slice So we went to a different beggars Pizza to enjoy a whole pizza pie.

I always order 2 large deep dish pizza. The box had a L on it I thought that meant large.I don’t think so it looked like a medium. The box is smaller and I only order the large. So I would notice the difference in size.
