Steve the owner is GREAT ! Such a great upbeat vibe. Great music. Food was DELICIOUS ! I can never decide on what to get. So … I always get a little of EVERYTHING 🙂 Love the Ribs, Brisket, Drunk Chicken and Green Beans !!! They have Pepsi products and Beer. No mixed drinks 🙁
It has outside seating next to the river. Too cold to enjoy on our recent trip.
Down sides … No coke 🙁 Small seating area and parking can be limited. Will definitely return.

Food was delicious!! They also had flites with local beers and Ogden brewery next door. The inside was an industrial and a rustic rock N roll feel. Steve was incredibly nice and personable. He handed out samples to people waiting in line and talked to everyone. The staff seemed to be a little forgetful but all in all it was a great place and we will definitely be back.

Finally have some amazing BBQ here in Ogden! This spot is a hidden gem located between the old Slackwater and Ogden Beer Company right on the Ogden river. The meats are full of flavor and never dry and the sides are unique and on point! Every dish pairs well with the El Guapo from Talisman that they serve on tap! Ask the owner Steve to splash your brisket with some beef tallow and you’ll be back once a week just like myself!

Our family had a great time at Steve’s. The food was awesome- something for everyone. Favorites for our group were the beef short rib, pulled pork, mac n cheese, creamed corn, and especially the peach cobbler.
I can also recommend their food for catered events. Easy to work with and the food tasted just as good as it does in the restaurant.

Love this place!
The atmosphere is awesome, located right next to the river in Ogden. The food is authentic Texas BBQ (I’m a Texan) and the staff is over the top friendly. Nothing to complain about here except you might want to plan lunch because the food is so good, it often sells out before dinner time.

Went to dinner here with neighbors, their second time, our first time. We went about 6pm yet and they were already out of ribs. Neighbors said they were out of ribs the other time they went. Bad planning.
The meat was decently juicy, maybe a little lacking in smoke.
Main issue was seasoning. Brisket, pulled pork, chicken and all sides seemed to be simply a little salt and a lot of black pepper. I like black pepper, but I also like additional spices!
Texas likes a simple salt and pepper brisket and thats fine, but not for everything. Also didnt really like the ala carte pricing. No “meals” makes it more expensive than competitors.
Sadly, there are simply better places to go.

They ran out of food before 7 (2 hrs before closing) on a Saturday. Should have closed the doors and let people know before we waited 30 minutes in line. Only a few meat options, no sides, no desserts, no bbq sauce. Staff didn’t know how to handle it, said they could only make so much food with their 1 smoker and this happens regularly. Also claims to be Texas BBQ, but no tea of any kind. Condiments including BBQ sauce tasted store bought. The brisket wasn’t bad, but that’s all we could try. Sounds like they’re new, so maybe we’ll give them another chance in the future. For now, I’d recommend going WELL before closing.

Porter beer that’s actually COLD Not the kind of cold like so many other establishments that keep their lukewarm beer at NOT SO COLD TEMPS! THE BEER IS REAL COLD HERE AT STEVE’S, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!
Excellent service and hospitality! Yeah I’m using Exclamation points because it’s to emphasize the intensity of the professional service staff on duty that treat the patrons that come on in to dine.
This is TRUE TEXAN HOSPITALITY! THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!
A Big shout out to STEVE for his kindness and respect and his crew is just as respectful.
Come on over and enjoy some real good TEXAS BBQ!!

Steve’s Black Sabbath BBQ is the best BBQ in town! The brisket was sliced fresh as we ordered very tender and flavorful no sauces needed. The peach cobbler was divine. The ribs were my favorite which surprised me I’m not usually a fan of ribs. The sausage had great flavor. The smoked beans had a great flavor and perfect texture we liked the flavor of the macaroni and cheese but do prefer a wetter style of Mac. The pork belly burnt ends were also seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone was knowledgeable of the menu and they were actually interactive and happy to help which is rare these days. It was also very clean and there’s outdoor and indoor seating the outdoor seating has an amazing view of the river. They do have one sauce option which was good, there’s a topping bar to dress up the entrees but it’s honestly not needed. My entire family left full and happy with the quality of food and overall experience 10/10 recommend giving them a try.
