Adorable restaurant is a perfect place to eat when visiting Augusta. Great food and drink choices combined with wonderful service. Small town feel with an elegant menu. Sit and relax while takiking in the sights the area has to offer. Views of the sunset, paddle boat and beautiful town take you back in time.

The Beehive Augusta Tavern is worth the drive to Augusta from Cincinnati. Everything – food, service and atmosphere were first class and pricing was fair. Whether eating inside in the beautiful interior or outside with a scenic view of the Ohio River, you can’t go wrong. From the time we walked inside, the employees acknowledged us and were attentive from beginning to end checking on our needs. The blackened salmon sandwich and sea salt fries were awesome. The bathrooms were spic and span clean which says a lot about a restaurant. We already have plans to return. It is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions or just treat yourself to a fine dining experience.

Had a lovely lunch after a 90 minute wait where we snacked on spiral cut taters during the Art in the Garden event.

I’ve never tasted a better piece of Salmon! Plus, the truffle fries were perfect! Even though it rained we were very comfortable on their outside patio with ceiling fans and a view of the river! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy, rustic and chic all at the same time. A great birthday lunch!

Met friends for Sunday brunch. The setting is beautiful, right on the Ohio River near the ferry. The menu is not large, yet is diverse and the food is of excellent quality. Decor is rustic industrial with a bit of contemporary. Great atmosphere, well stocked bar and friendly staff. My wife got to meet Nick Clooney which was an awesome experience!

Simply the best. Food, staff, and views! Loved meeting Katie and Carmen, and enjoyed their drink selection! Best Bloody Mary around, and if you love bourbon drinks, you have to try the Smoky Old Fashioned. Amazing!!!

I would highly recommend coming to this wonderful restaurant. We drove about 45 min from northern Kentucky to come here for mother’s day. The food was fantastic. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and drinks to start our meal off. I chose the espresso martini and it was one of the better espresso martinis that I have had. For the main course I orded the bourbon glazed salmon and the brussel sprouts (not pictured). The restaurant sits next to the Ohio river along with some houses built in the 1700’s. There is plenty of shade to walk down the street and enjoy the beautiful weather and old architecture. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. We will definitely be making the drive again to come back and see more of the small town of Augusta and this amazing restaurant.

The only reason I am leaving one star ( besides the fact that one is the minimum) is the artichoke dip and the atmosphere. The service was awful and frankly rude. We got to our table at our reserved time and didn’t get our food for an hour even though the restaurant was empty. Any employee we spoke to was rude and snarky and when I informed them the food simply wasn’t good, service somehow got worse. We had to wait so long for simple things like water and napkins. The food had tasted like it was left under the heat lamp and the four people in my party each got four different menu options and we were all disappointed. One member of our party was compared to a toddler by a presumed manager. They did give us free dessert, but it definitely didn’t put a dent in the bill for the food that was $20-30 that tasted like it was sourced from the clearance section of a dollar tree. The burger was not cooked correctly nor did it have everything on it. We have never been more disappointed after leaving a restaurant. I have never been dissatisfied at a restaurant to the point that I simply couldn’t eat anymore. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone.

Delightful dishes and great staff. We had a wonderful brunch and dinner here. The chef made accommodations for my lactose challenges and my wife’s gluten free needs. Andrew made fantastic drinks, bloody Mary’s, and my sidecar was delicious. Order a Buckner’s bourbon- aged 13 years and the taste will transport you.
