I visited the place on either a Friday or Saturday (March 8 or 9), and to my surprise, it was practically empty. I couldn’t quite understand why, but boy, am I glad I stopped by. Let me tell you about the Reuben sandwich – it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Smoked corned beef brisket? Are you kidding me? It was like heaven between two slices of bread. Now, I have to admit, the fries were a bit overdone, but honestly, who cares when the sandwich is that marvelous? It took me back to my childhood days of going to Bear Lake Bar for their incredible food. But this was next level. I can even taste it through my lost sense of taste from Covid. I heard this place was under new management and had undergone some remodeling, and I have to say, it’s very nice. Met the owner and he seemed like a great guy. And let’s not forget the waitress – she was an absolute peach too. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service really added to the overall positive experience. It’s those little touches of great service that make dining out so enjoyable. I really hope they keep those Reubens going because they are truly something special.

Bear Lake Bar is where the southern smokehouse magic happens. Their burgers, Philly cheese steaks, and Rubens are absolute winners. And here’s the cool part: you can get a nice saucy kick by using/mixing their special sauces upon request. It’s a flavor adventure waiting to happen; don’t miss out!

I ordered a smoked Ruben sandwich. It was probably the best sandwich that I’ve ever had in my entire life. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was great, but the place was absolutely dead. I can’t understand it. If this was in my town, I’d be a regular. Really fantastic!

From the outside this place doesn’t look like much but it is quite nice inside. Nice wooden ceilings, comfortable and clean atmosphere with some fun decorations. I received prompt and friendly service that justified a higher tip than I normally would give. If you’re deciding between places, I’d recommend giving them a shot!

Honestly, a good place to have a drink. However, we come here for the Southern Synthesis Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich. Rarely we dine in, normally we take out. The environment has an older feel because of all the wood, but the tiki vibes at the bar brighten it up. Use the jukebox!

It is off season so take this with a grain of salt. We have eaten here several times when it was just a take out food truck and it was good but our first experience in the bar was not great. Service was friendly but extremely slow despite there being less than 10 people in the entire restaurant. The food was okay but 2 of the three entrees were incorrect and one item was forgotten. Do not think we will be back.

Nice servers. Fun open mike night. Didn’t care for the appitizer corned beef bites. Very fatty, which may be the way it’s served in the south. Not sure. But I wouldn’t get that again. Their other foods looked good.
