Discovering Fresh Catch was a treat! I was craving a poke bowl and was delighted to customize my own with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about their menu, which made the experience even better. The relaxed atmosphere really suited my lunch break. I also tried their lobster roll, and it was packed with flavor. It’s great to know they’re focused on sustainable seafood and local produce. I’ll definitely be back for more.

This review is for a DoorDash delivery. I ordered the basic spicy tuna bowl and a beef bowl, no add-ons or extras. The bowls came and the ingredients and assembly looked good. But they were both smothered in sauce they were awful. For a place supposed to be known for their quality fish, I couldn’t taste the tuna (or anything else) at all. I’m hoping this was an off night because other than the sauce it looked like it might have been ok.

Stepped into this gem for the first time and was blown away by the vibrant, fresh flavors! Crafting my own bowl was a delight, with every ingredient tasting like it was picked and prepared just for me. The homemade kimchi and sauces added a kick of authenticity that you just don’t get everywhere. It was the perfect meal I didn’t know I needed. Can’t wait to go back and explore more combinations!

We really liked the atmosphere here! Sat at the bar for lunch yesterday and our bartender was fantastic. Delicious cocktails and friendly conversation; really good service. I had the ahi tuna poke bowl (build your own) and my partner had the lobster roll. Both good, but we were still hungry afterwards since the portions were a bit small so we shared the poke nachos. This was listed as a bar snack but was a large portion! I really liked the edamame on the nachos. I think the tortilla chips were a bit heavy for this and the spiciness of the sauce kind of overwhelmed the tuna, so not sure we would get this again, but we had a good time here and would definitely try some of the other menu items.

This location needs to step it up. Williamsville is always fresh, my ahi tuna always looks gray when I get it from the pearl street location. My Kani salad was tasting funky too. It’s too expensive to be disappointed. I also ordered a cold pressed juice and they gave me a sparking water. I got a refund after I complained bc the price is like $3 different but you don’t just make swaps like that without consulting the customer.

Fresh Catch is a fantastic restaurant! The seafood quality is always excellent and is a great place to eat. We hired Fresh Catch for the raw bar at our wedding 3 months ago and guests are still talking about how incredible the raw bar was! Highly, highly recommend this restaurant and their catering services!

Once upon a sunny Buffalo afternoon, I decided to revisit one of my favorite lunch spots nestled in the heart of the city. As I stepped through the doors, the familiar warmth of the bustling atmosphere enveloped me, promising yet another delightful dining experience.

The restaurant, a hidden gem known for its eclectic mix and affordable luxury, hummed with the chatter of contented diners. The decor was a harmonious blend of modern and rustic elements, creating an ambiance that was both inviting and stylish. Twinkling lights hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the wooden tables.

I was greeted by a smiling waitress, her enthusiasm as refreshing as the cool breeze drifting through the open windows. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding my choices with insightful suggestions. I opted for my usual favorites – the flaming tuna, flying salmon, and the steak teriyaki, but couldn’t resist adding the lobster rolls, a recent discovery that had quickly become a must-have.

As I waited, I couldn’t help but admire the bar area. It buzzed with a vibrant energy, a testament to its reputation for serving the best mixed drinks in the city at surprisingly reasonable prices. The bartender, a master at his craft, mixed drinks with an effortless flair, each concoction more intriguing than the last.

The food arrived, a visual and aromatic delight. The flaming tuna was a fiery dance of flavors, striking the perfect balance between heat and taste. The flying salmon was a testament to freshness, its delicate flavor enhanced by the lightest of seasonings. The steak teriyaki was tender and flavorful, each bite a savory delight. But the star of the show was the lobster rolls – fresh, succulent lobster nestled in a soft, warm bun, each bite a burst of oceanic bliss.

As I savored each dish, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude. This restaurant wasn’t just about great food; it was about the experience. It was a place where the hustle of the city melted away, leaving behind a space where time slowed down, and the simple joy of a good meal could be fully appreciated.

Finishing my meal, I leaned back, content and full. I watched as the staff moved with a seamless efficiency, attending to each customer with a personal touch that made the place feel like home. It was clear why this spot was a favorite among locals – it was a place where quality, comfort, and value met, creating an experience that was both exceptional and wonderfully familiar.

As I left, I promised myself to return soon, knowing that no matter how many times I visited, each experience would be as memorable as the last. In the heart of Buffalo, this little lunch spot was not just a restaurant; it was a story, one that I was always eager to revisit.

If Fresh Catch Poke suited up for Notre Dame, Marcus Freeman would put this bowl in the starting lineup and call plays for it out of the Wildcat.
I made a create-your-own bowl with salmon and chicken because I like my lunch like I like my offense: unpredictable, explosive, and hard to defend.
That salmon? Smooth, fresh, and fast—Jeremiyah Love in fish form. The chicken? Built like Drayk Bowen—lean, powerful, and hits like a linebacker. Toss in some spicy mayo, crispy onions, and house shoyu, and suddenly I’m in a two-minute drill against my own self-control.
Each bite felt like watching Riley Leonard drop a dime downfield—clean, precise, borderline spiritual. I’m convinced the staff are secretly walk-ons, because they moved faster than a Brian Mason punt block unit.
Bottom line: This bowl didn’t just satisfy hunger—it ran a flawless offensive series against it.
Final score: Fresh Catch 38, My Willpower 3.
Go Irish. Go poke.

Fresh Catch was great! We came in from out of town and it’s a short walk from the hotel. It’s bright and clean and the food was delicious! I thought the prices and quality were great. I ordered the Flaming Tuna and it was exactly what I wanted. The miso soup was cooked hot for us and brought to the table. We also got an acai bowl to-go which was also delicious.

Service was wonderful, friendly people who gave us suggestions and smiles.

10/10, definitely would go again.
