Pictured is some kind of special they had on the board the day that I visited.
The meat lacked much taste, I feel like this is food for old people. The cheese has good texture, but like the other ingredients, lacks flavor. Even the tomatoes were bland.
I feel like beach hut used to be of higher quality.
Not bad, but not great either.
First poor experience, I arrived one hour prior to close (while storming outside with my family) and the young man working at the counter made an excuse as to why they were closing early. Something about the meat cutter not working or another issue that was equally ridiculous. I could see the kids wiping down the work area getting ready to close, early.
Second poor experience, I asked for a High Tide size large. The young woman stated they can make it a large even though regular was the largest size for the High Tide on the menu. I was stoked because I was hungry and was looking forward to a big sammich.
When I got home, I discovered the same amount of meat was on my sandwich as my fiance’s regular High Tide sandwich, on a different type of bread. She got “garlic” which wasn’t even garlic, and mine was made with a basic white loaf. Literally paid more for the same thing, felt like I got burned.
I’m sorry but I am done with this Beach Hut Deli. The owner needs to train his/her employees better. I would rather go to Nugget or Sourdough in El Dorado Hills.
Hope you guys reading this have better luck.
Photo is a reference for a basic sandwich by son got, which is the only one they didn’t screw up or skimp on meat.
You can easily spend $20-$30 per person here for lunch, and for that price the sandwiches are very average.
The service really isn’t great either.
Last time in here at this location my wife and I got 2 large sandwiches and 1 soda and the price was $50 and change. If you are spending $50 on 2 sandwiches those things better be really good but they just aren’t that great.
6/9/24 Sunday
We had a big party for a couple of our family who have birthdays. We ordered two large party boxes to go with umpteen assorted sandwiches and green salad selection. We picked up the order right on time and everything was ready. The food was flipping good. They did a hell of a good job in the sandwiches and as my kids like to say there were lots of groceries on them! The salads were plentiful too. Quite frankly very surprised on how much high quality supplies they used. Great bubbly staff at the counter and couldn’t say enough nice things about how good it turned out. Well done!
