The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

Reviews
Despite what the name may suggest, this is a Korean fried chicken and side dish restaurant. To make your experience easier and more enjoyable, I suggest you to download their app BBQChicken and then order from the app. It takes about 20-30 minutes for them to prepare deep fried chickens. Good things take time to prepare. If you order no chicken it usually takes about 15 minutes for your orders to be ready.
Here are a few dishes we have tried so far. The Korean fried rice, added cheese on top, the egg is sunny side up, it’s a bit spicy/mild for some but maybe medium for people who aren’t used to spice. Honey garlic chicken wings, and golden fried chicken wings, both crunchy outside and tender inside, tiny spicy, very rich in flavor and super fulfilling. Vanilla frappe with popping brown sugar boba’s, if you haven’t tried popping boba I recommend it, it pops not chewy. Through the app I also got a free coke. At the moment I write this review, their smoothie machine is not working at its full capacity, I recommend calling to see if they can make your desired soft drink or not.
We only ordered to go, so for service I don’t have much to say other than I am greeted with smiles and sent off with smiles. We will be back for some more for sure!
Kimchi Fried Rice, the egg was cooked perfectly! Add the 8 piece Spicy Galbi style boneless and you will say Thank You!
My family and I came here for lunch today, and it was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.
– The chicken was undercooked, smelled bad, and tasted like old oil.
– There was hair in the food, which is completely unacceptable.
– The smell was so strong we couldn’t eat it at all.
– The restaurant is run by a husband and wife. When I politely explained there was hair in my chicken, the wife told me to complain to the chicken company instead of taking responsibility.
– Earlier, when I mentioned the food quality, I was told to “dip it in sauce and eat it.”
– The owner even took a piece of chicken from my plate and ate it without permission to prove it was fine.
– We paid $64 and barely touched the food, yet they refused to give a refund.
– From both a health and customer service standpoint, a refund absolutely should have been issued once hair was found in the food and a complaint was made, but they still refused.
– The very small replacement item they brought also smelled bad.
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The food quality, hygiene, and customer service were all unacceptable. I will never come back and strongly recommend others spend their money somewhere else.
In my line of work, I won’t eat food that isn’t fresh. Many fried chicken chains cook large batches in advance and re-fry them when orders come in—resulting in greasy, less-than-fresh chicken. But at BBQ Chicken Agoura Hills, it’s different. They have an open kitchen, and I watched them cook my order from scratch the moment it was placed. That’s the kind of care and quality that lets me eat with complete confidence.
This time, I ordered the Whole Chicken—half Golden Original and half Secret Sauce. Both were outstanding: crispy, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. Next time, I already know I’m trying the Spicy Original Wings… just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
A thoughtful touch—the owner even gave me a complimentary bottled water, which left a great impression.
From one chef to another: I strongly recommend BBQ Chicken Agoura Hills. Freshness you can see, taste, and trust.
Now, the bad thing:
The name is very deceiving. All fried chicken is served with various sauces, not a bbq chicken. Their secret sauce is very sweet and spicy with a kick, too much of a sugar in it.
For the price, they should provide a few free side dishes with other than radish.
1st the wings are huge.
2nd the crispy crunchyness of the wings were fantastic.
3rd the flavors were amazing my son(7) and I liked the Galbi the best. Think I will try the spicy galbi next time. My wife liked the Soy Garlic best.
4th only negative is there are maybe 3 tables to eat there and the bathroom is upstairs and you need a key.
5th. Some of the best customer service I have ever received at a restaurant.
We will definitely be back. P.S. mixed the blue lemonade with some Sprite and it was amazing.
