I was in Morgan City for one evening, visiting my old oil rig, the ODECO Mr. Charlie, and really wanting some boiled crawfish- and BINGO!! Did I ever hit the perfect spot! It was kind of a giveaway when you saw the local vehicles lining both sides of the road outside. Great boiled crawfish and crispy fried-just-right shrimp. And Sandy, the owner, checking frequently with her inquiry of “everything good”?, ya gotta love it. The best boiled Crawfish and fried Shrimp for sure and you can just tell how much the local folks love the place. And me too!

You can taste the full love of a mother from the food. It is not the care about doing business, but the passion for making food for her family and children. She is not soft on the ingredients and is not afraid of the portions eaten by the guests. The ingredients are fresh and best of all. Precisely how crispy it should be, how juicy it should be, and the food is served very slowly, probably to serve every guest carefully, so although there is no luxurious decoration, it is very warm inside and is all local. Familiar people lead the way here to eat. The customer at the next table is from Long Island, New York. This is by the bridge in Industry City. I didn’t know there would be a store run with such care.

It’s always a treat to come here. I don’t know much about food, and Southern seafood in particular, but I am guessing it doesn’t get fresher and more authentic than this. I’ve been to Morgan City three times and make a point of including Bayou Lagniappe each visit.

If you’re used to a buttery bag-shaken boil, that’s not what this is. I was very confused why I was just given boiled seafood with very little flavor. Ask for 1-2 containers of garlic butter and a container of Cajun seasoning and mix that into your seafood. The “reds” are probably the best option for your money. Don’t bother getting an onion or garlic unless you know you want to eat them.

Wonderful food!! I had the Crawfish and he had the fried fish plate. One word of advice: Make reservations if you plan to eat here on Friday or Saturday night!! I will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! The crawfish are perfectly seasoned and spiced, that dipping sauce they give you can be used on anything seafood related. We also had the red deep-sea shrimp which were outstanding! Call ahead for the crawfish and shrimp because they do run out!

Great boiled and fried seafood. Nice staff and owners. I’ve noticed one review on here gave it one star cuz it looked like “a dump”, and they didn’t eat here. First, how do u judge a place u haven’t eaten at? 2nd… Man! If u r judging places by how fancy they are, u r missing some of the best eating… not just here, but across the country. But for those folks, Taco Bell and Wendy’s just remodeled, so have it! Meanwhile, I’m gonna dig into these crawfish.
