Barley House – Destination Cleveland
Reviews
My friend and I stopped in for Wednesday happy hour and were immediately wrapped in polished vibes, impeccable energy, and cocktails that understood luxury. The Strawberry Shortcake Martini was rich, silky, and indulgent in all the right ways, while The Cupid, thoughtfully curated by bar manager Brittany, was elegant, balanced, and absolutely unforgettable.
The appetizers were beautifully done—flavor-forward, crave-worthy, and perfect for pairing—yet somehow the bill stayed refreshingly reasonable. Elevated cocktails, delicious bites, a buzzing atmosphere, and zero sticker shock? Rare. Iconic. Worth the hype. We need the night chatting it up with other guests at the cigar bar The Grotto located inside the Barley House.
Barley House didn’t just deliver happy hour—it delivered an experience. We’ll be back, glam intact.
Large dj booth.
The menus food selection isnt large but it is good and flavorful. My friend loved the dry rub bone in wings and I absolutely enjoyed the soft pretzels.
Drinks are a good price compared to other downtown cleveland venues.
While I appreciate this establishment reaching out and asking for more information about my experience, I do think it falls short of sincere when you call me the complete wrong name. It seems it’s just a generated response, as other negative reviews have the exact same comment.
This place could be cool, but the food is lacking, and the service is poor. They weren’t even busy when we stopped in for an early dinner. While it didn’t take too long to get a server to our table at first, she didn’t reappear much after that. When she did, I ordered another beer. Eventually, after 10 minutes of waiting for a second bottle of beer, I went to the bar to get it myself. The food was just mediocre at best. Birria tacos were kinda bland, and consommé was just salty with no flavor. They play good music and have a cool atmosphere. That’s about it. If you’re just drinking at the bar, could be a perfectly fine place to chill.
