I really wanted to love this place, and I do appreciate that everything is organic—that’s a big plus for me. The açaí itself was tasty, though I felt the fruit toppings were a little light compared to the rest of the bowl. For the price, I was hoping for a bit more balance. Service was fine, though nothing that stood out just yet. That said, they’re new and I’m sure still working out the kinks, so I’m hopeful! I’d definitely give them another try and would love to come back and update this to 5 stars once they hit their stride.

high quality açai, well served and great service. Looks satisfying, they fill the bowl to the top WITH AÇAI instead of overwhelming toppings and the acai itself is very dark and not so sweet. Every time I eat açai somewhere else I regret my decision…

Barefoot Bowls is situated in a CUTE food truck park near the Maui Airport with ample, shaded seating and lots of games for kids to enjoy. The açaí bowl was fresh and delicious and the staff were willing to convert a smoothie into a bowl for my daughter despite it not being on the menu. They were warm, engaging and eager to please. Such a great experience!

I happened to be in Kahului and heard anout this new acai bowl & smoothie truck called Barefoot Bowls. I met Nico and I was very pleased with the menu selections and the cleanliness of the location. I ordered the Lunchbox smoothie and it was everything I expected it to be & more. Açai itself has great texture,its nicely frozen (not melted like in most places in Maui)

So excited that we have an açaí bowl truck that’s finally opened up next to all the other trucks! Not only are the owners so sweet and friendly, but I had their açaí bowl with additional toppings and it was so refreshing and delicious! Highly recommend!
