My fiancé and I had been wanting to go to Sugo/Bar Sugo forever and I’m so glad we finally did!
We were on a waitlist for Sugo and figured we’d call Bar Sugo and ask about a walk-in and they said to come right away so that was amazing. I wanted to try the pizza anyways so was glad to get the chance.
The servers here are all so friendly it’s actually crazy. Made us feel super welcome and cozy. I don’t know if it was just because it was New Years Eve but everyone seems to love their jobs which is always a good thing.
The food was as amazing as the service. The best Cesar Salad I’ve ever had! The dressing tastes like something momma would make, with a mound of cheese on top.
Easily Top 3 pizzas I’ve ever had too. Every bite was full with high quality toppings and amazing flavour! Really cheesy! The garlic dip is incredible as well.
My fiancé loved her Spaghetti Bolognese and the couple bites I had were super clean and flavourful.
Cocktails were tasty and made with care, always nice when our favs are on the menu.
DEFINITELY coming back here many more times!

This place was very hyped for me, and although it deviates from my usual Neapolitan style decided to try it. The venue is the best part it’s spacious and quite aesthetically pleasing, with a cool vibe. Service is pretty good at the bar, edit: actually very good talked to the owner at the end and he is very passionate and cool, highly recommend now, will probably come again.
Pizza base is 8.3/10, was really good but expected a 6 day fermentation to make a bigger difference, but still a nice crunchy crust with a floppy centre, could be puffier on the outside, but the thinness of the middle is alright and unique.
I got the mumma mushroom, it gets a 6.9/10 get a sauce base pizza, ricotta is too creamy with the rest of the cheese, and the mushrooms could be done better and roasted a little more, not worth the price for sure, but I think there are better options.

Bar Sugo is honestly one of the best places I’ve tried in Toronto. The pasta was absolutely delicious, the pizza might be the best pizza in the city, and the tiramisu was fantastic. Everything we ordered was great. On top of that, the staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and friendly. The whole experience was amazing. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

Wow! I love myself a perfect pizza, Max was there to assist us in selecting the perfect pizza. We also ordered the pesto pasta and a special spicy parm. It all was so good almost wanted to chew on my fingers after from the flavours. We had also ordered the calamari which came with Deep fried peppers that made the flavours all come together. Excellent food compliments to the chef! The environment was warm and cozy although it was ice cold outside there were no drafts or chilly air very comfortable! We will be back very soon to enjoy more!

Cool vibe. Food was good as well. I really liked the whipped ricotta gnocchi and the sauce as well. They were busy so couldn’t sit at a table but the ba was cool as it was right in front of the open kitchen. Pizza was good as well, really nice crust and high quality toppings.

Definitely worth the wait, and from the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy and charm of the place. The staff are incredibly down to earth, making you feel welcome right away, and the service is top-notch.
The Caesar salad was crisp and fresh, setting the tone for what was to come. But the real stars were the rigatoni and the Gigi Pizza. The rigatoni was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful sauce.
And the Gigi Pizza ? Absolutely out of this world. My friend and I took our first bites and immediately exchanged a look of pure satisfaction, which says a lot since we’re no strangers to exploring Toronto’s pizza scene. The combination of flavors and textures was just incredible.

Had a lovely dinner at Bar Sugo — a truly wholesome Italian spot. The food was great and the burrata starter was definitely the standout for me! The pastas, pizza and tiramisu were delicious as well. (Was so excited to try only remembered to take a picture of the dessert) I do wish there was a bit more variety on the menu, but honestly, that wouldn’t stop me from coming back.
What really made the experience special was the service. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Tonight myself and group of friends dined with Bar Sugo! It’s been very popular, the wait was about 40-50 mins with no reservations. The food was amazing!!! We shared the specialty pizza and it was definitely the highlight of the night, but everything the table ordered was great. The only complaint I have is the music kept changing after 3 seconds of a song starting- or it would just skip completely. Very frustrating after the first 3 times.
