I’d describe Bar Sosta as the cooler younger cousin of Il Terrazzo. It’s located next door and serves many purposes in Pioneer Square.
The space itself is absolutely gorgeous – more Lower East Side Manhattan vibes than your typical grungy Seattle dive bar. The aesthetic is polished but approachable, and it’s a great meeting point before heading out into the neighborhood. Fun fact: you can spot design nods to Sosta in the new Carmine’s on 5th Ave downtown.
They also do private events with amazing catering from the restaurant, perfect for anyone looking to book out a stunning space in Seattle’s first neighborhood.
It’s the perfect spot to drop in for a martini or Negroni (or two), split a salad and pizza, and catch up with friends. It’s become a staple in my art walks and girls’ nights and strikes a great balance – it feels both special and comfortable, whether you’re settling in for the evening or just passing through. Highly recommend.

We had a Negroni and an Espresso Martini while waiting for our dinner table at the restaurant next door. Both drinks were delicious and hit the spot! Friendly staffs too!

Super long and well setup bar at Bar Sosta with solid drinks. It was completely empty when I came through however, but maybe it was an off night.

I had dinner here on Thursday 11/6/2025 and my Negroni (a cocktail) had no fewer than 5 flies in the glass. It was disgusting. The server said that happen with the sweet vermouth sometimes. Do not recommend. Sincerely, Kaitlyn H.

One last stop before leaving Seattle. Loved the vibe and food options. We shared a quick bite and a drink. Specially love their open windows and their fire pits. Made it feel nice and cozy.
We had:
– Baked Ziti
– Negroni
– Prosecco

Wonderful place for lunch (And dinner which I’ll be coming back with my wife). The place is designed in such a way that place a smile on your face the second you enter. Now for the food, we had the Arancini, Grilled Green Salad, Tagliatelle Basilico and the Mezzelune. The Pasta is hand made, which you can feel for yourself, and all the tastes are very good. Highly recommend especially on a sunny day when the porch is open.

Ate at the bar early one Friday night and really enjoyed our time here. Pastas were excellent, service was prompt and friendly, and drinks were top-notch (including a very creditable negroni.) If you find Il Terazzo a little too “white tablecloth” for your tastes (as I do), this is the place.

Very nice menu that is tasty and priced well. My husband and I shared a fig pizza $28 and chop salad $18. Excellent! The salad was very fresh and the dressing was good and homemade. The pizza has did, goat cheese, and prosciutto on a cheese base. The crust was perfectly cooked. Simple menu. Highly recommended.

Food is super overpriced and incredibly mid-tier. They were out of one item we ordered, despite the place being empty. The arancini was dry and had nothing inside of it. The chop salad came with different ingredients than were listed on the menu. They played depressing music the entire time we were there. Absolutely pass on this. This place has high reviews because Intermezzo used to be here and it took over the space.
