I normally don’t do reviews but I’m moving soon and I’m really going to miss this place. When there was no seating at the popular Italian place next door my husband and I tried Bar BQ about a year ago. He was weary of trying Peruvian (menu has since changed but still amazing), thought it might be to spicy, but after that BQ became our go to resturant. Its too bad the place doesn’t get as much business because of the guys next door, BQ definitely deserves a chance. The menu is limited but what is on there they do very well. A good portion of the meat is on the bone, making it juicy and tender, when available one of my faves is the fish. The red snapper they served on Valentine’s day was fantastic. Outdoor seating during warm weather, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. I don’t really do bars so I can’t really comment in that area. The prices can’t be beat for what they serve and the large portions.

Bar BQ in Garfield was awesome, just went with my girl and the staff was very friendly! I read most of the reviews and I don’t believe the negative ones. You have to at times to experience it yourself. Good was perfect, prices are just right, and drinks on point! Can’t wait to go back, suggested happy hour to them and love it!

Absolutely terrible. Calamari was tough, we waited for our drinks at least 15 minutes. When we did get our drinks, mine was mostly ice, so I ordered a 2nd. The second one was only a half a drink. they didn’t have several things on the menu available. It was a slow night for them, there was no reason for the service to be so poor or for them to not have product on hand. We never got silverware, ended up just asking for the check right after the appetizers. The server was not at fault, he was very kind… clearly poor management. Never going back.

We tried to order our dinner and the waitress walked away (without as much as an excuse me) 3 times before we could get to the entree. By try number three we walked out. We were there a good 20 minutes and weren’t even served water by the time we got frustrated and left. And by looking at the only 2 other people in the whole places food, it is not a bbq joint.

So…. not Portuguese anymore (I am, I should know), more a eurospanic menu. I was disappointed as I was looking for Portuguese food, but that lasted about 5 minutes. The food was awesome, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were very fair given the portions. I has to take food home, and that does not happen frequently. They did a great job.

The food is fantastic, and you can’t beat the prices. Be warned, it’s not US-style BBQ, it’s European-style. And to the reviewer who ate fried ribs, I don’t know how since they turn them over the grill behind a big glass window and you can see them making doing it.

Worst place ever! They don’t deliver, half of the things on the menu they don’t have! Plus I was going to order for a birthday party it was a large order I asked them to separate the chicken, ribs, French fries and rice in separate trays and they wanted to charge me 5.00 extra per tray! Not worth it!!!

Barbeque???? Yea right. We ordered baby back ribs and they were fried! When we asked the waitress if they were fried…she said yes and once she noticed our facial expression she quickly changed it to no. There isn’t much of a selection on the menu for bbq food. But then again it doesn’t seem as if they bbq at all. The sauce was placed in a cup for us to rub on. Very disappointed. Will NEVER go there again.

Ever been in a place that could care less if you were there?Thats BBQ Grill in Garfield New Jersey.I asked for the well done shish kabob,but food was horrible not cooked how i asked. i Oh, i tried to get waitress, but she was no where around. Finally i found her while she was playing with her cellphone. asked her to change my food she said no this is what you have asked for. so i just asked for the check n left! and not gonna come back ever again.
