This place has that upper mountain charm! The food is exquisite and you get to choose from 2 different menus. Big variety of spirits also. So many different cake slices to choose from and they are mouth watering. Price ranges from $10-$30per person and for how much food you get its worth every penny. The staff is fast and friendly and the place is very clean. Best place for a first timer in Banner Elk or anyone visiting. Tried the Salmon bowl (Which is beautiful), The grilled pork chop with goat cheese and pepper jelly, lobster risotto and fried green beans and the kids cheese burger and fries. Seriously..the food is delicious! 5 out of 5!

Food was really tasty and prices were super reasonable – great breakfast spot. There were some disgruntled employees in the kitchen speaking loud and using unprofessional language and everything could be heard where we were sitting in the dining area. We would still go back and would probably request sitting outside on the patio.

We stopped in for lunch. My wife ordered the fried mountain trout, and I ordered the same except grilled. They were very delicious and very full serving.

I do not write many bad reviews and I really understand most issues but our entire experience was awful. We went tonight for dinner and the first negative was we sat in the worst seat in the place right next to the exit near the bar in the lodge. OK no big deal, the service was slow OK fine. We ordered mozzarella sticks which were cold and clearly not fresh like the menu said. We got house salads and the lettuce was bitter and dry. Next, the main dishes are eggplant parm and chicken parm. Both were clearly not fresh and came out of a box. Very hard and dry. The angel hair pasta has a red sauce that was watery. The garlic beard was a soft dinner roll with garlic powder on top. The service was very poor throughout and we waited for the waitress to ask how the meal was but she never did. The worst $52 I spent in a while and was the worst meal I had in a long time. We didn’t even finish it.

Quick service. Nice workers. It was a little confusing because you can order from two different menus because they have two kitchens there but none the less, it was still a great experience.

Have been visiting Banner Elk and the cafe for my whole life now and was never super impressed by the food and the coffee was always mediocre at best. However, today I went in to give it another shot and was absolutely blown away. As a former barista, they have significantly improved their coffee and easily give brands like Starbucks a run for their money. The Iced Caramel Macciatio was bold and flavorful. My sister said the chai latte was also delightful. For breakfast, I had the Eggs Benedict with hash browns and, while the hash browns could have been a bit crispier, the Eggs Benedict were probably the best I have ever had. Will definitely continue to come in for coffee and breakfast whenever I am in town.

This place looks incredible and the atmosphere and vibe seems unparalleled but I think the amount of customers it receives really slows down its focus on the individual customer. We sat down at 1100, ordered (nothing fancy mostly chicken wraps, fries and a few cheeseburgers) and we waited for over an hour and nobody said a thing to us from the original order until we received our food an hour later. I was very disappointed at the customer service and lack of attention given to us.

Absolutely best place around! We got seated within minutes(the place is huge). And get ready for menu’s galore! The food was fast, service was great, and the atmosphere fit perfectly with the town! Highly recommended!

Every part of our visit was great! We started off with the tomato basil mozzarella tower, dinner was the honey garlic rib eye and the Mahi entre. All was amazing but we had to look at the cakes. There are two refrigerated displays. We ended up with three slices of cake. We couldnt make up our mind. Again, everything was wonderful. Would recommend visiting this place!

BBQ so good you’ll slap yo mama. Pet friendly enclosed and heated patio! Servers are the nicest. Prices pretty reasonable depending on the menu you order from (they have 3 and 2 different kitches) The cornbread is to die for
