As soon as I bit into the fries I knew my meal was going to be delicious. I had the short rib French dip, 10/10. Every bit was super flavorful, texture was perfect and the roll was so soft and delicious. The roll kept its integrity after dipping the sandwich in the au jus. Our waiter, (Ira, I think) was great. He was super attentive without being over bearing, great recommendations and walked us through the beer list.

I’m from this area and was visiting for the holidays from Denver a month ago. Right away I was blown away by the hospitality from the hostesses to our server Brandy. We also met Jesse who is amazing. The drinks were good and so was the food, but the people left an impression on me.

I’m now back in town a month later and when asked what to get for lunch, I knew I wanted to come back to Bankhead. (While hoping to run into Brandy and Jesse)

Jesse was our server today and Brandy has come by our table.

What a place, what a team!

From someone who is in hospitality and a foodie, kudos.

We tried this place one evening for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated right away. Our server David came by and got our drink order and upon return got our food order. We tried the Triple Grind Meatloaf which was very tasty and cooked to perfection as were the sides. We also ordered the Texas Redfish which was very delicious as well as the sides. We also tried a Sausage Pizza which was very good also. The staff here is very helpful. We found the restaurant clean as well as the restrooms.

First off great service and great atmosphere! We ordered two entrees and and app for Sunday brunch! The Benedict was good just a touch salty. The BLTA dip was to die for. I can appreciate actually having enough bread for the dip provided. We lastly got the breakfast pizza and this is where it went a little south. You’ll notice in the pics the sauce was red. Asked the waitress about it and was told it was an error. After she came back from the kitchen she stated that actually since the regular white sauce for the pizza was out they substituted the marinara. Now don’t get me wrong if the substitution goes well I’m all for it but it was awful. If you run out of ingredients maybe just say you are out of the entree? Just my two cents. She did take it off the whole bill and was very apologetic. Just over all slightly disappointed in this poor decision of the cooks in the back as eggs, sausage, gravy, and marinara don’t mix at all.

Fun little, upscale pub. I hear their brunch is good too. I was there for evening cocktails

Fun brewpub – nice patio – decor could use some work – food plating is fantastic!

The FOOD is quite good – we had the Chicken Lollipops wrapped in bacon (they fell off the bone!) which were cooked well but served lukewarm – 5 for flavor, 3 for serving. The Triple Grind Meatloaf, though, was a homerun! Fantastic flavor, binding, texture and proper temperature plus served with perfectly blistered green beans – 5 in every category

The DRINKS were good – I had a beer flight and a bourbon and they were good – I’d give them a 4 for the beer and 5 for bourbon selection, proper glassware

SERVICE was not great – had to ask for water then received the water in glasses that looked like they had stuck on soap scum, just nasty looking glasses. Took a long time to get our check, our server asked about how our food tasted and what our favorite was right after the food arrived and we hadn’t even taken a bite.

FOOD VISUAL – the food looked great visually and we were sitting at the bar so saw a lot of food items go into the window that spoke to our tastebuds and made us hungrier, so that’s a good thing – very visually pleasing. Burgers looked amazing!

AMBIANCE is good in general with the nice patio, but the bar is a mess – you have a beautiful liquor wall but then hide it with business, a poorly placed TV, etc. Seeing team members pour beer cheese was not visually pleasing and should be hidden from view in my opinion. Go visit bars that “get” how to work aesthetics and learn from them because this place has potential to be great. The Farmers Branch location gets this concept better than this location.

Overall, I’d go back! Not a 5 star experience but definitely a 4. I’d probably give a 4.1 if that was an option. Worth checking out!

I love living right across the street from this place! The servers and bartenders are top notch. (Shoutout Zailee, Kamryn and Jessie… sorry if I butchered the spelling!)

Can’t wait to see how the menu evolves and the beer keeps being innovated. Picked up our thanksgiving kit from here this year! Best all around experience ever

Bankhead is a family favorite happy hour/dinner place so we knew we had to have my baby shower here to welcome our baby boy! The whole experience was absolutely amazing. My mom was able to message Kyle with all our questions and needs and he always answered right away! We were allowed to bring in our own decorations and desserts. They allowed us time to set up & clean up and the service was phenomenal! All of our guests complimented the food and especially the beer! I’m so happy we got to share our love of Bankhead with our friends and family and you best believe I will be back for patio drinks when baby arrives!

Great atmosphere, I stopped by here after getting off the train. Downtown Rowlett has a cute little Main Street with little shops. I’ve heard quite a bit about this particular restaurant so when I saw it while waiting on the train I thought I wanted to try it. I ended up ordering the brussel sprout and pesto pizza, the crust was a nice homemade thin crust, it was nice and crispy on the bottom. The service was very attentive and I sat out on their porch during a perfect November day where the weather was wonderful. The inside looks very nice as well with booths and tables. Their fish & chips and meatloaf entrees looked good if I were to stop by again.
