I just moved to the area and thought, “Oh awesome, this place is literally within walking distance of my new home.” I had never tried it before—only picked up DoorDash orders from there in the past. Because of my new disability, I’m very limited on places where I can grab a bite. I can’t drive, I ca’t walk far and I’m not ready to figure out the bus route yet. I am hurting from the move and too tired to cook and only had $12 and some change. So I couldnt afford to do doordash. Jimmy Johns doesnt deliver in this area. I needed to stretch, exercise, and get an idea on my newly sprained ankle.

When I walked in, I noticed the menu board had prices covered with duct tape, which felt odd and honestly a little shady. It made me hesitant to trust the food. I’ve never eaten here before, and I don’t recall ever having Vietnamese food, I love trying new foods though, so I decided to play it safe. Everything was out of the $12 budget except cheese cake and tiramsu. I was just going to get a Diet Coke and a slice of cheesecake for now for $7 and some change… then come back later after asking friends and doing a little research.

I thought I had about $12 and some change in my account, but when I tried to pay, my card was declined. I checked my banking app—sometimes I accidentally lock my card—and realized I only had $5 and some change left. I’m still not sure where the other $7 went since there were no visible charges.

I waited while the staff member was making more tea and then told her I would just get a Diet Coke for now and will come back later. She told me I needed to buy a sandwich and couldn’t just purchase a drink. I had to show her that I only had $5 and some change. Apparently, she pressed there’s a $10–$15 minimum to eat there.

Odd..? How yould like if you went to mcdonalds or bistro 501 and was turned away for not buying a meal or dessert…?

As a first experience, this left me unimpressed and discouraged from coming back. It felt unprofessional, not very customer-friendly, shady. Unfortunately, they’ve lost my business—and I would have likely become a regular. I waa looking forward to having a mom and pop place thar was literally next door and being a regular. Having a physcial disabilty sucks. I can’t drive. Taking the bus route is hard. I cant use ACCESS because of limitations. I can’t afford uber/lyft. Can’t afford much. I deserve to get out and about. If I want to use $2.50 for a just a pop. I don’t carry cash much as its useless these days in the era of a digital age. Nor is it easy or safe carrying any because I am not allowed to have access to my SSDI and bank. I have not figured out the bus and to see if i cant get to a bank easier now.

Had to walk even further to the village pantry. BUT Their EBT card machine was down too. ugh! I just want to eat.

The service was light and pleasant. I ordered pork vermicelli and egg rolls and strawberry fruit tea which were pretty decent. Came out fast. Had a place to sit inside and enjoy it. Would recommend.

The food here is really good. I order the marinated pork and the crispy tofu. I have never had tofu before so I can’t really say much about it. The sandwiches here are far better than your usual American sandwich shop. The price is ok. They are mostly comparable to other sandwich restaurants. Service was good to, with the hostess bringing your food to your table. The only thing that was lacking was the atmosphere. It felt like your sitting in the middle of a remodeling project. It felt cluttered and disorganized. It is though a clean restaurant. I would definitely recommend especially if you want to try Vietnamese cuisine.

Amazing. We had the classic and the marinated pork. I wish the classic had some sauce or something, but the flavor was great. The marinated pork was awesome. The pork dumplings were crispy and delicious. Washed it down with strawberry milk tea and my favorite the peach fruit tea.

The owner and her team were the nicest people I could expect to meet on my cross country trip form Jersey to California. The food was amazing. The vegan options were to die for. I can’t wait to go back!

These are NOT spring rolls, this is a spring lump stuffed with lettuce. I thought it was sage to get the bad spirits out of my house! Who even prepared this? Where is your training? I know you don’t care but when I go to Vietnamese restaurant I expect Vietnamese food. I thought I walked into Subway for a minute. Also staff was unfriendly and the vibe in the store was not welcoming as if I am an inconvenience. I also waited over 40 minutes when I was told only 10-15 minutes with no other customers around. The food was just plain with oily rice, cheap chicken leg meat as it was mostly brown & gristle, and the brown was not from the seasoning. The steak was tough with no flavor. If you are use to McDonalds and Subway then yeah this is going to taste good. This is NOT authentic in any respects. I don’t know, maybe I just went the wrong time when the real owner was not present. I will NOT BE RETURNING. Save your hard earned money and eat elsewhere.

Great food at a good price! Got the marinated pork sandwich and the pork dumplings. The dumplings were nice and crispy with a great flavor, and the sandwich was fantastic as well! Portions are on the smaller side but the prices are low as well. Will definitely be coming back.
