I tried their #1 and it was pretty good. $6.50 for a sandwich and a coke. Cheap and filling! Love the cucumber slices in the sandwich, it’s crisp and refreshing. The jalapeños give it some heat.

Authentic Vietnamese sandwich shop. If you know Banh Mi Ba Le in Oakland, then this place is the same. Owners are related. Variety of sandwiches made per your request. I requested the veggie contents separately in a bag because I’m eating them the next day for lunch. I didn’t want the bread to get soggy. They graciously accommodated. Parking may be tricky. Free small parking lot in front of the shop and there is street metered parking. Area is very clean. I spoke to the owner in Vietnamese so I can’t really make comments about how fluent he is in English. Highly recommend if you’re craving Vietnamese sandwiches!

Pricing is very reasonably. I normally will get a sandwich, egg rolls and/or the marinated chicken quarters. The Vietnamese Lay’s flavors are also fun to explore.

If you’re not Vietnamese read this review, because if you are Vietnamese in any way you already know this place is great… Friendly and fast folks working in this small store filled with Vietnamese / Asian snacks, drinks and the main focus is on tasty sandwiches! You know it’s good food and a great deal because it’s usually busy but the line moves very quickly. My favorite sandwich is the “bacon”, which is like a warm char siu /red around the edge of the meat, thick Sliced pork with the fat on it. I’ve also had their “BBQ char siu pork”(red finely shredded pork) sandwich and their “BBQ chicken sandwich” , which is finely shredded chicken mixed with mild chicken like spices (dark yellow color). Those were both tasty but might not be what you think of as BBQ pork or BBQ chicken because they are so finely shredded. You can ask for the sandwich roll not to be toasted, which if you’re eating it in your car I recommend because the crumbs will go everywhere if it’s toasted. Toasted or not it’s still a good and full sandwich with plenty of vegetables with the big bonus of having the sandwiches sliced green peppers not being too hot/spicy, unlike most Vietnamese sandwich stores. I haven’t tried the other sandwiches but the #2 seems very popular and as soon as I try others, I will list them here.

I tried the grilled pork one and I felt the meat is not like what I expected. But I am already very satisfied as the price is good and all others are really authentic. I saw many other options and would definitely wanna try some of them next time.

Tiny and homey describe this place well. It’s a no thrills, good cheap eats. The egg roll was thick and didn’t skip on the filling. I ordered bánh cuốn and it was made fresh

Try the egg bahn mi! It’s so good. Think like an egg breakfast sandwich but then you have the crunch of the veggies. This makes top 3 bahn mi spots in the bay for me.
